I have no idea what happened that night. I've written over and over again that it seems, based on the slim evidence presented, like Zimmerman is certainly guilty of a crime, but it will be very difficult to prove, and that based on what I know I would be forced to acquit. In this thread there are a lot of thoughtful people- people trying to be fair, to do the right thing, to provide good commentary. I disagree strongly with some of the comments made by Carolina Hustler and renesauz, to cite two examples, but I very much appreciate their integrity: I believe that they are honestly attempting to give a reasonable judgment about a complicated situation.But you on the other hand- there's no nice way to say this, BoneYard Dog, but your posts are simply pathetic. On this issue, just like every issue, you begin by looking for whichever position happens to match you extremist conservative point of view, and that is the position you adopt. Then you go cherrypicking "facts" which will support your point of view. It's incredibly predictable, because you have done the same thing in every thread you have ever entered. You provide nothing new, and nothing interesting. I could write all of your posts. If I were you I would stay away from posting until I could figure out a way to contribute something of value.

The Martin family lawyer is on TV right now pointing out that according to the first police report there were no injuries listed to Zimmerman. Only in the second report did these injuries show up, which makes him skeptical.
I bring this up to point out a phenomenon similar to the OJ Simpson case: I believe a lot of people are going to distrust anything the police says, and assume that its all lies and cover ups.

Undoubtedly.So basically they're looking at what other cops have done numerous times in the past, saying a high percentage of cops perform cover-ups, so the cops in the present case must also be performing a cover-up. That sounds like people would be profiling the present cops based on the actions of other cops. Aren't we not supposed to use "you belong to a group" logic to profile? Shouldn't Bobby Rush be speaking out against this profiling?

Zimmerman’s mother, Gladys who is Peruvian, used to be an interpreter at the county courthouse. While his father, Robert Zimmerman, who is white, is a former Orange County magistrate judge.

That’s the question on everyone’s mind now that news has leaked that the lead investigator wanted him arrested.

The 13 year old witness, whom BoneYardDog and others have claimed supports Zimmerman's story, has told his mother very clearly that the cries for help were from Trayvon Martin, not Zimmerman. He also says that there was no struggle that he saw. He does not believe that this was a case of self defense.
I wonder if he's lying....or if the mother's lying....

There are links to at least two interviews in this thread he gave and he was nowhere near clear about that.

As I stated many times, the lead investigator appears very biased. I think it is inappropriate for an investigator to make such statements. He is playing judge and juror. Just telling you what the mom says on TV. She seemed pretty firm about it. She implied that all of the police officers outside of the chief investigator who intereviewed her son deliberately tried to mislead him and frame his testimony in a certain way. And that the chief investigator told her that there was stereotyping going on and to "read between the lines."

The investigator, she said, would nod yes when asking if it was the man in the T-shirt, who turned out to be Zimmerman, and not the one in the hooded sweatshirt, Martin, who was screaming out for help. And while the police have said that they don't have any evidence to refute Zimmerman's claims of self-defense, the investigators had a different story when they visited her family about a week after the shooting, Brown said.

How far away from the fight was he? I remember in the interview he said it was dark out because of no moon and the rain.
