Florida boy killed by Neighborhood Watch (2 Viewers)

What I found interesting earlier was that she said he didn't want to run because he was right next to his father's residence. Yet the fight occured a couple hundred feet from the residence. Doesn't add up.

This. Is. Brutal.
Forget what I wrote earlier about her being sympathetic to the jury. She's not sympathetic at all, IMO. She's stupid and not very likeable.

But the "Get off me, get off me" is major trouble for the defense, and I still don't know how they counter it without Zimmerman testifying.
You think that this woman's statements are going to be giving any weight? The defense is going to tear her apart. Her credibility will be worthless by the time they're through.
Actually, yes I do think they will give her statements weight, unless there is some other testimony that directly contradicts it. Which means Zimmerman. But we'll see.
:lmao:

I think they will have to base their opinions on the taped call. The rest is who knows. Someone should have told her to get a good night's sleep and come in with a clear mind...

The problem is that her most damning statements are also the statements that haven't been consistent. The "Get off, get off" wasn't initially offered by this shining example of the Florida school systems, IIRC.

Why? Because she's the prosecution's primary witness? This woman is out there and has been proven to be a liar.

Considering who she is (uneducated, unsophisticated, young, not well spoken) I think she is doing about as well as the prosecution could ask for. She's not the ideal person to have as the last contact with the victim, but I think she's authentic. Bias will be assumed, but I don't know that the jury will just disregard what she's said.

Why am I the only person who thinks sitting under cover for 30-40 minutes in the rain while your on the phone and have nothing to do but go back and be with your family isn't a stretch? He only cared about getting home to watch the all-star game.

Well she doesn't know what he means or how far anything is when he says he's near home so he isn't running etc.

Either he went back or her definition of "right next" is a couple hundred feet.

Actually, she probably doesn't know what she is saying. She's only remembering bits and pieces from the story.

Sure she is biased, not sure why this stuff makes her uncredible.

She doesn't know, but it appears that they were on the phone for a while between when Z first saw Trayvon and when he said he was near his father's house.

I don't...because I've actually done it multiple times in the last couple years so that I could finish a conversation.

That's only sixty to seventy yards. If I'm on the phone and my wife asks me where I am because she wants me home and I'm a couple hundred feet away, I'd probably tell her I'm right there (or right next to it or right by it) and I'll be in the house in 1 minute.

You obviously weren't trying to have a conversation with Rachel Jeantel. No way you'd last 30 minutes.

True. I thought it was a couple hundred feet but its actually only 60-70 yards. My bad.

Well, you see how long it takes to get one answer. You keep having to ask her to speak up. 40 minutes for a conversation is nothing with her.

When my running back is tackled at his own 30, I always lament the fact that he was right there, but couldn't score.

Well, he was trying to take it to Da house.

I must be missing something. She said she wasn't aware that her interview would be used on TV but she had asked them not to include pictures of her?

Where is the defense going with this?
Hoping to catch her in more lies and inconsistencies I guess.
She's taken her best shot at Zimmerman at this point. Keeping her on the stand as long as they can does not hurt Zimmerman it can only hurt her or the prosecution. If it goes nowhere, no skin off their nose.
asking if she was intimate with Treyvon and asking if she knew of the other girl isnt helping them
