Deep dive into Joe's Six for week 10...

100246 - @gobrowns33 - Bye week hell!  Missing Darnold at QB (well, not really missing), but still looking good with Brees & Ben.  Zeke & Gore taking a break; Jacobs, Gibson, & Thompson have to suffice.  Crowder's played well when healthy, but now he has a week off.  Still, a very strong WR corps of Adams, Thielen, Cooks, Sanders, and Davis should carry this squad.  Without Hurst/Herndon at TE; Ebron still a top 10 option.  2 K's/3 D's to gather scores from.

103154 - @Synthesizer - Happy to have Lock back, because Burrow faces PIT, and Minshew benched for a rookie.  CEH on bye and Thompson a non-factor at RB.  Need strong games from Jacobs, Hunt, and Moss (Chubb could steal some of Hunt's thunder).  With Ridley & Lamb on their bye and Unicorn on IR, only active WR's are Chark & Boyd.  Top TE Waller, along with 2 more in search of flex scores.  3 options each at K & D.

103205 - @4th&inches – Running 3 strong at QB.  At RB, Carson is out and Akers is actually the 5th best fantasy RB on his own team (behind Henderson, Brown, Woods, and Goff).  Conner, Lindsay, Moss, Gibson should yield decent scores.  Ridley & Lamb resting, Allen, Chark, Jeudy, Aiyuk, & Edwards carrying the load.  Multiple options at TE, K, and D.  I am gonna jinx this team and say I like their chances to advance.

103462 - @Raging weasel – Stafford & Cousins available, but may not have monster games (Darnold warming the bench).  Taylor/Hunt/Gibson used a combined 19 times; Dobbins/Scott/Lindsay a combined 6 times; Akers never.  DK, Marquise, Marvin, and Golden will represent the WR’s with Perriman on bye and Campbell gone.  Liking the 3 options each at TE & K; could use a strong game from the Chargers D.

103477 - @stuckinthemuck – Wilson needs a Wilson-type game.  Danny’s best game so far equals Wilson’s worst, and Tanny’s poor fantasy score is already in the books.  Henry with a below average game for him, and Saquon relegated to cheerleader.  Need help from Moss/Gibson/Edmonds.  Lockett/Metcalf combo used 13 times; remaining 5 WR’s used 12 times.  Jonnu with 10 pts and Engram wanting to make that a flex.  Myers trying to overtake Gostkowski, and 3 D’s to choose from.

104031 - @cstruk - 2 capable options at QB (Brees/Stafford).  Missing Zeke this week, Thompson has been useless, so working with Jacobs, Conner, and Gibson at RB.  Ridley trying to get healthy on his bye, rolling with 4 WR2/WR3 types, along with the studly Waller at TE (Ertz sidelined).  2 options each at K & D round out the Horde.

Best of luck folks!

Good luck yall and to all of the thread survivors.

which i played dirty last season and loaded up on chiefs and niners taking a zero in PO week 1. I think i finished in 2nd? Maybe 3rd?
Oh, I remember, haha.  I was giving you a hard time about it, saying you only won by accident!

There are 12 live teams who could've purchased more players, but decided to leave money on the table.  This guy only spent $244, chose the smallest possible team, and rostered only 1 at TE, K, and D.

https://subscribers.footballguys.com/contest/2020/104251.php

Teams like this are a slap in the face to those who spent more than 5 seconds coming up with their rosters.  FTR, I think it's fine to spend $249, because maybe you think the players you chose were the best options.  But to leave an empty spot when you could have filled it is just plain stupid.

Ghost team done at 138.75.  Perhaps this is the week that double buries my team.

Good luck to everyone still in the running :)

-QG

Should make the next round.  Wish I saved some for next week.  At 167.4 with Andrews still going and Jefferson/Arob tomorrow -9.20/-13.20 possibly.

Big thanks to Stafford, MVS, Gibson, Jacobs, Scott, McClaurin.

Hope I can get lucky one more week, tons of dead money and ARob on bye next week.

Ownership numbers for the week 10 finale:

QB - Cousins (77), Trubisky (21), Foles (8)
A quick look at the numbers and you can see Cousins is the one to watch here.  Fun fact - Trubisky's week 1 score of 32.70 is the highest of this trio.

RB - Mattison (42), Cook (36), Cohen (33), Montgomery (9)
Cohen on IR and Montgomery out due to concussion.  Only MIN can move the line with RB's.  At Cook's price, I am guessing all of his owners need a good game.  Mattison is just a dart throw with a healthy Cook.

WR - Thielen (119), Robinson (40), Jefferson (34), Miller (29)
Cousins to Thielen is easily the biggest line mover of the night.  Robinson not at 100% (knee) but still likely to play.  Believe it or not, Miller has more double digit games than Jefferson, but Jefferson is in good company along with Davante Adams & Tyler Lockett as the only multi-30 pt gamers at WR.

TE - Smith (39), Graham (33), Rudolph (22), Kmet (13)
Smith & Rudolph each have a few decent games, but nothing to write home about.  Kmet has only 2 usable games.  Graham is averaging 12.52 points per game, and at his $5 price tag, he is in the running for the best spent bucks of the contest.

K - Bailey (30), Pineiro (12)
Only MIN can move the kicker line, as Pineiro was done before the season started.  MIN hasn't attempted a FG in a month!  Less than 4% of remaining teams own Bailey, and of the 30 owners, 23 already have a kicker score for the week.

D - MIN (80), CHI (51)
Neither D has been worth it thus far.  CHI (D18) is the lowest scoring $5 D, and MIN (D23) is the lowest $4 D (I am counting PPG, as MIN is the only team with 8 games played).  That said, they are both still common enough to make a difference with a great game.  Average games (around 5 points) won't really matter, except for the teams that own them.

Roster size
18 - 130/2992 = 4.34%
19 - 82/1381 = 5.94%
20 - 87/1193 = 7.29%
21 - 78/943 = 8.27%
22 - 79/882 = 8.96%
23 - 73/732 = 9.97%
24 - 56/555 = 10.09%
25 - 47/412 = 11.41%
26 - 35/332 = 10.54%
27 - 38/266 = 14.29%
28 - 16/171 = 9.36%
29 - 14/141 = 9.93%
30 - 21/226 = 9.29%
Overall - 756/10226 = 7.39%

Cheapest live QB team - $16 (Matt Ryan only), but he is way under the line and has no Monday Night players
Expensivest (yeah, I made up a word) live QB team - $64 (Brady, Brees, Stafford, Roethlisberger, Minshew)
Cheapest live RB team - $44 (Lindsay, Moss, Hines, Gibson, McKinnon)
Expensivest live RB team - $126 (Edwards-Helaire, Chubb, Jacobs, Johnson, Gibson, McKinnon, Thompson, Brown, Gore)
Cheapest live WR team - $39 (Westbrook, Davis, Washington, Gage, Stills, Jeffery, Robinson)
Expensivest live WR team - $130 (Godwin, Thielen, Woods, Metcalf, Brown, Miller, Campbell, Washington, Ross)
Cheapest live TE team - $6 (Rudolph only) who needs a decent game to keep him alive
Expensivest live TE team - $79 (Kelce, Kittle, Waller, Graham)

6 teams on bye next week to. I’ll try to help out Winz and figure out how much money is left out of lineups with Byes or injuries.

Alrighty then!  Currently looking at unused $$, and more specifically, the largest team with no used dollars.  Have already went through all the 28-30 player rosters, and none qualify.  I did find a few fun facts...

- One team has yet to use Josh Allen, but they did use Derek Carr
- One team was saved by Andy Dalton's awesome 4 point game

Sitting at 124.9 with just Cook left. Will 35 pts be enough?
According to calcomatic, 124.9 is the exact cut line as of right now.  2 teams have exactly 124.9 and neither team has Cook.  But to answer the question, it matters what your other RB scores are already.  Would he start counting for you from the start?

Oh crap....I misread it and thought the cut line was my score. What a #######. Never mind......I'm at 149.85 with Cook left :^ ) And I've actually only got one RB score and a 0 with Gurley on bye. Amazing that I've been getting by with basically  just 3 RB...Cook, Gurley and Hunt.

You are a shoe in, even if Cook sat the entire game.  Congrats on staying alive with only 3 RB's!
Well I've actually got 5 but one is Tevin Coleman and the other Chris Thompson. I've had to use only one score between the two of them all year and that was a 3 for Thompson back in Week 6 when Cook was out. That was the only week I was in any danger and made the cut by 3.15 pts with a zero at TE that week.

Hence my joke about you only having 3 RB's.  Even when you did use Thompson and his paltry 3 points, you didn't need him.

Decided to get a jump on week 11.  I only count 4 teams on bye - BUF, CHI, NYG, and SF.  Who am I missing?

Week 11 isn't all that bad for byes.  Here are the current QB numbers.  The second listed number is the current positional rank.

QB - Jones (43 - #20), Allen (26 - #25), Garoppolo (25 - #26), Trubisky (21 - #29), Foles (8 - #35)
Of the 756 teams still alive, combined they own 2130 QB's.  The 123 above represent only 5.77% of the QB's.  And hey, let's face it - if you have been counting on any of these QB's besides Josh Allen, you are probably dead meat.

Laviska Shenault remains the only player to have a higher than average survival rate every week, even though he has a total of 1 catch for minus 1 yard over the last 3 weeks.

Not sure I did this right but some players that are out or hurt.  This week is a big chop. 500-250. Likely don’t get there with Arob, Kittle, Cohen dead money.

Josh Allen -17

Armstead (8), Barkley (9), OBJ (12) Bills D (64) Brees (45), Bridgewater? (62), John Brown (9) Cantezaero (15), Cohen (22) Diggs (38) Ekeler (28) Engram (25) Ertz (9) Giants (15) Golladay (19)  Guice (1) Haskins (11) J. Howard (5) DJax (51) David Johnson (42) Kittle (23) Lockett ??? (55), Mack (14) Mccaffrey (17) Mccoy (9) Miller (17) Minshew (62) Mixon??? (26), Montgomery (7) Moss (207) Mostert (47) Penny (1)  Dak (48) Arob (30) Shenault? (89) Singletary (10) Sutton (9) Tyrod (14) C Thompson (135) Preston Williams (63)

Anyone without a QB?

Let's give a high five for the final five  :hifive:

@4th&inches - Only team left with the Goff/Roethlisberger/Carr trio, but would gladly trade one of them in for a healthy productive RB right now
@gobrowns33 - Big Ben looks like the only QB left, all other positions look strong and all byes over - can you survive with Thompson going on IR?
@cstruk - Just like gobrowns33 above, looks like you'll be running 1 deep at QB too; still unsure if Ertz is returning or not, and what about Ridley?
@Raging weasel - Stafford & Cousins sharing, 3 RB's carrying 3 other ones with $18 anchor, thin at WR, want monster games from your TE duo
@stuckinthemuck - Danny Dimes counts! $77 in NYG byes (and Moss).  SEA trio's combined week 10 less than Wilson by himself every other week

Congrats to the survivors! One more week of success and then we can start thinking about getting the big prizes. I'm rooting for us all.

Fun facts - 1 for each position

QB -  Lamar Jackson ($26) and Justin Herbert (S4) each have 7 remaining owners.  Jackson started with 737 and Herbert started with 63.  If you had rostered both, you would've only used Jackson week 1 (no cut line), week 6 (Herbert's bye), and week 10 (by a mere 1.6 points).

RB - DeAndre Washington ($3) became extinct before Derrius Guice ($15).  Not all that amazing, until you consider Washington started with twice as many owners (72 to 36) and costs one-fifth the price.

WR - I had to dig a little to find this tidbit.  Going into week 11 this year, no WR with 10 years or more in the league is in the top 24.  The last time this happened was 1978.  OK, this one is a bit of a stretch, because Julio Jones is currently WR25 in his 10th season.

TE - Travis Kelce's 53.4 point lead over TE2 Waller is the biggest gap after the first 10 games this century.  And yes, it's even more than Gronk's record breaking season in 2011, when he finished with 90/1327 and 17 TD's.  Why?  Because after 10 games, Gronk wasn't even the TE1.  He was behind a guy named... Jimmy Graham.

K - I dunno what the record is, but the Jaguars have used 6 different kickers over the last 7 games
    - This entry was saved by Jaguars kicker Josh Lambo in week 2 - https://subscribers.footballguys.com/contest/2020/109063.php
    - This entry was saved by Jaguars kicker Stephen Hauschka in week 5 - https://subscribers.footballguys.com/contest/2020/107488.php
    - This entry was saved by Jaguars kicker Chase McLaughlin in week 10 - https://subscribers.footballguys.com/contest/2020/108214.php
    - The remaining 3 Jaguars kickers (Jonathan Brown, Aldrick Rosas, and Brandon Wright) were not offered in the contest

D - After 7 games played, the Dolphins had scored 57 points.  Through the entire 16 week contest last year they managed only 56.  In a reversal of fortune, last year's Niners scored 131 points throughout the contest, but only 42 through 10 games this year.

I am AMAZED that my entry is still alive. My roster is so bad I hadn't even bothered to check the standings for the last 5 weeks or so. But it looks like I kept scraping by.

Now that I've jinxed myself by looking, I'm sure I'll be out in Week 11. 😄

Whenever I get eliminated from this contest I stop caring about my roster and never follow up to see "what if" I made the cut in the week I was eliminated - literally have never done it - until just now.  And I should have continued to not care about it because I discovered I would still be alive had I not missed the cut in week 5

:kicksrock:
