For anyone even thinking of NOT playing Stallworth (1 Viewer)

damn it. if i only i hadn't of read this thread, i would have won. Bench S.Moss for Stallworth and lost by 5 pts. Would have easily won with Moss in there. Oh well....but in case anyone doesn't realize it, S.Moss is a must start every week. No doubt about it.

MOP:

what fantasy site you write for again?
Hmmmm, we could bump my pre season threads and see if any of those were good or bad...c'mon BD a lot of people have now been burnt by Stallworth twice now...what do you want?
I commend you, truly. I was was one of the MANY who thought that Stall would perform well (especially today). I only have one question for you...What's her name? Is it the ACTUAL Lea or just a fabrication?

Apparently Donte's only going to play every other week...Week 1: 4-47Week 3: 0-0Week 5: 1-6Week 2: 8-141Week 4: 8-129

My opponent played Stallworth, and I thought Stallworth would probably have a good game. It's hard to have a good game though when your quarterback is playing so horrible, he gets pulled from the game.

Sorry that you found out the hard way that the guy is clueless. Let that be a lesson to you.
OK, for those that just don't get it.1. Many of us help over in the AC Forum, this issue must have been in every other thread over there this morning. Of course those that simply come in here and bash others like Bristol would never know that.

2. FBG had Stallworth I believe 21 for the weekend...even had Joe Horn as high as 12 last night. It looked like a good match up with at least some garbage time scores...no one knew Brooks and the Saints would be so gutless.

3. Things don't go as planned. I think of Hold Em a lot where you have Pocket Kings or Aces and somehow they just don't hold up thru the flop, turn and river. I think Stallworth was an excellent play on paper this morning. Logic would tell you he was going to have a decent day. He didn't. Neither did Deuce or Brooks or anyone from the Saints really. Laugh all you want Bristol. You contribute nothing to this board other than to waive your finger and try and humiliate anyone you can. I am never going to stop posting, prognosticating, or predicting because you call me and everyone else a bunch of names.

Bristol if you want to really do something, why not volunteer to help with the FBG site since you know so much. How bout write a column that would benefit everyone? Don't trip over yourself backing up.

We can now add "Mop'd" along with "Keerock"
Bristol if you read the thread than you would see that I already posted a :bag: for this thread. But it's not good enough for Roman Soldiers like yourself who want to splice the flesh further with your barbed words of wisdom...go ahead and do what you put here to do.

The Packer's d-backs actually seemed to have a *bit* of a grasp on Bates' scheme today. If they can keep it up, they might show some improvement. They still need a lot of personnel (Ahmed Carroll might be the worst DB in the NFL right now), but they could slowly improve.

Ahman Green is out today for Green Bay...while I love Najeh Davenport coming off the bench, the fact is the Packers are 0-4 and looked their best when Favre was zipping it all over the place.  I think Green bay will pass more today. What does this have to do with Stalworth you ask? I'm getting to that.

If Green Bay passes more today which they will, this equates into more time of possession which translates into opps for Brooks and a Horn-Less offense which will equate into probably a minimum of 8-10 Donte Stallworth Targets.

He burned a lot of owners in week 3 at MN, so some owners may be leary of playing him.

Here are 8-10 players who are being ranked around him this week.

C.Chambers

S.Moss

R.Smith

J.Galloway

D.Branch

B.LLoyd

Kevin Curtis

A.Johnson

M.Muhammed

T.Glenn

R.Ferguson

I like Stallworth better than all those plays this week.  Start him!
Good Call! It seems like every time I check one of your posts its filled with BS, opinions, and eventually wrong advice. IMO shut it. See how easy that is.."IMO" You need to use that acronym more often-like in every post :boxing:
My opponent did start him though, hopefully due to your "advice". Thanks
Make sure you do a search before you blast your tool meter thru the roof. I get some wrong like anyone including FBG...everything pointed to a good game for Stallworth. Do you have a personal vendetta towards me or something. I can't wait to run a search and see what you have contributed to the Shark Pool. There's no pee-ing in the SHark Pool, guess you missed the memo.
ouchrough day for the MOP

ouchrough day for the MOP
People in hospice probably had a rough day. I went 2-2 in my FF leagues, I'm fine thanks.

You should have learned your lesson on this stiff long ago. But as long as Haslett and maybe Brooks are part of the organization, forget about NO doing much of anything.

ouch

rough day for the MOP
Happens to all of us. I hope he keeps his chin up and realizes this. We all have good and bad days. He can take solace in the fact that he's had many more good and bad days. I'm confident he will stick around and keep posting.

Jeez, isnt the guy allowed to be wrong? Nobody picks em all right, and if youre letting someone else, ANYONE else, make up your mind for you on who to start, you shouldnt be playing FF. The whole point is to be a coach and make decisions. Keep the posts comin, MOP.

MOP. I could just as easily have posted what you did. I was high on Stallworth this week, and started him in two leagues (in both it was his first start of the year). I NEVER saw this coming. For those giving MOP crap; where were you posts debating what he said PRIOR to the game? IF you can't think on your own, don't blame others who do; and add valuable content to this board. This forum is for exchanging ideas = Listen to what others say; add your .02 based on empirical evidence, and gut feeldings; and make this place better. ~Liquor

Stallworth is definitely inconsistent, but a lot of this is due to the inconsistency of his QB. Stallworth is the number 2 guy when Horn is playing and although Horn always gets his because he gets the targets and looks, Stallworth will go missing due to Brooks sometimes just being plain bad.

This is a good point. Brooks has to bear a major part of the blame - I'm not sure Horn being in there would have made a major difference.

When was the last time Donte had 2 good games in a row.
1st time for everything. Its gotta happen today.
You want to revise that statement. This is a perfect example of how guys get pimped by these boards. Donte has never been able to perform week to week. Fools gold...

Hey helix, maybe you're right. Wish you would have been here this morning when we started this thread. Later this week I will make every effort to do an Avoid/Exploit...I've been extremely busy working the past couple of weeks and its been hard to do much more than the Oddsmaker thread. I do want to extend you an invitation to come into those threads and criticize/analyze before the games start on Sunday...and I mean it as a nice invitation more than a put your money where your mouth is so relax.

I was one of the pimpers. I came up with that opinion all by myself, and luckily it ddnt cost me a win.Ive started Stall 3 times and got zero points every time. Wont happen again.

ALRIGHT ALRIGHT!!! Last chance Stallworth, Im sitting Santana Moss for you!

:crossfingers:

(BTW, it's a flex spot)
THANK GOD! I snapped out of the fog that this kool-aid had me in and benched Stallworth for Santana (again) 5 minutes before kickoff!!

Not sure if this has been posted, but there's a reason the Saints announcers call him "Santa Claus" -- he shows up once a year. I will never, ever draft or trade for him, ever.

Look at the time stamp jackhole on my 1st post. My original post was an hour BEFORE the game. I was not playing Monday morning QB...

I'm not sure what an FFL owner is supposed to do in this situation. Every analyst on every website had Stallworth and other Aints ranked high this week. Nothing Greenbay has done defensively up to this point would indicate they had the ability to dominate like that. Stallworth had been reasonably productive leading up to the game and Horn was out.Sometimes you go with the best information available or play from the gut. Personally I've done both. In this case, my gut was telling me Stallworth was the by-product of circumstance. But, there was nothing to indicate that he couldn't continue to benefit from it and put up good numbers. I was going to play him while Horn was out or limited unless I had another WR with a better matchup.Sometimes your gut is way off the mark and so is the information. And when that happens, there is nothing you can do other than shrug your shoulders and move on. It's a long season fellas and sometimes stuff happens. :football:

Jackhole? Have to look that up.Great, so we can count you in this week in our other threads, right? Always like people who address others as jackhole to be in out threads. BTW: I like how you snipped and pasted that. I think I was being friendly, you start the name flinging with jackhole...very big of you.

Obviously it'll never happen with Haslett around, but anyone think that a change in QB will help Stallworth, as Brooks seems eternally locked onto Horn?

Stallworth did get his first reception after the change at QB on sunday. But, the frustrating thing is Brooks locked onto Stallworth in the previous game when Horn was out. So, that would lead me to believe that its more Stallworth and his tendency to "zone out" during games than the QB behind center.

Looks like McCallister is out for the season, so maybe there is some value for Stallworth as the Saints will be throwing a ton.

You okay Liquor or are you drinking again? :D Edit: Darn, I post this and your other two thread copies were deleted already. Thanks for ruining my joke!
