For the love of God, do not elect Hilary Clinton next election. (1 Viewer)

Might as well be resigned to it. The tipping point has been reached. The GOP cannot win a national election anymore.
Kick the extremist and religious nutcases off the wagon and you might surprise yourself at how many of us would be willing to hop on.
I think we should just ban religion altogether and be done with it. According to my country on Nation States, you can ban religion and still have a "Very Good" civil rights rating.

Still here boys. Clinton's biggest fan dating back to 2008.

Just waiting for her to get elected and put Obama's presidency to shame so I can drop a gigantic I TOLD YOU SO!
Were you a member of PUMA?
LOL. No.. I quickly made my way over to the Obama camp after she finally conceded (in what was her best speech of the entire campaign. Really speaks to the dumpster fire that her candidacy was in 2008.)

I just thought people put way too much stock into lofty rhetoric and the "cool" factor.

But now Clinton 2016 will be harnessing the "cool" factor so I guess that makes me a hypocrite.

Kicking the extremists and religious nutcases off the wagon would render the GOP to green party status. The IK's and Y23's are the exception, not the rule.
Says the extremist nut-case from the left. :lmao:
Which of my positions do you consider "extreme"?

So that means you're an avid follower of GunZ.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with corporate profitability. There's not even really anything wrong with our overall economic growth if you account for the drag created by gov't cutbacks. The problem is the increasing degree to which corporate and overall economic growth is disconnected from middle class growth and increased opportunity across all socioeconomic segments.
I'm on board with the idea of reworking the corporate tax code, which seems mainly to exist to keep lobbyists busy. I don't think it's currently a drain of any significant measure on our economic growth, however, and reforming it by itself won't help the distribution problems.
WWAoDD?
It's basically outlined in the things that would make me consider voting Republican. Expanding on that a little, I think the most important things for the next century would be:

Education reform, with an emphasis on developing critical thinking and life competency in primary education and making it less costly for individuals to pursue college and advanced degrees

Public investment in R&D, and next generation energy, transportation, and communication infrastructure

Tax and entitlement reform that I mentioned before and I think is critical
The problem with "reform" is that it can mean very different things to different people. Some people want to "reform" the tax code by adding brackets, increasing rates on the "greedy rich", and making it more progressive, while others want to do the opposite, etc.
I agree with this but once you get past the rhetoric and name-calling, I've also found that people can usually agree on a reasonable middle ground. The problem is that the political parties have little to gain in finding a middle ground when the political apparatus is built around campaigning and control of the process, as opposed to actual governance. Meanwhile special interests poor money into the system on typically polarized platforms, driving the wedge in the middle even further apart.

There are viable solutions to all of these problems but as long as we continue to treat politics as more or less a professional sport, right down the the owners (Special Interests and Super-donors) players (Politicians) and media soaking in money from the general public, we're likely to stay stuck in the same cycles.

BENGHAZI!!
It's funny when Americans die! Covering it up makes it even funnier!
Beating the dead horse and trying to gain political favor using their deaths is more disrespectful.

Let me know when someone tries to do that. All we're asking for is the truth.

The truth is you are going to lose in 2016. Screaming Benghazi until you are blue in the face won't help you one bit either.

I'm out of the predicting elections game since I was wrong last time. And let's be clear - it's going to be about more than just Benghazi.

It's sad that with all the smart and reasonable and accomplished people in this country, we regularly face a decision between two career politicians to be president.

:goodposting: Do we really want to go back to the baby-boomer generation running this country?

My vote is for Otis! Who's with me?

I can't support a President who would not bang Marilyn Monroe, fat rolls and all.

Lets see Jed Bush vs Hillary, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I think we have a winner, HILLARY
No doubt. There are a huge number of better choices on the Republican side. Jeb = capitulation.
I'm curious as to who you think these are. I can think of one choice that's better, and he's certainly huge, but who else?
A list of folks I would vote for before Jeb:

Ryan

Cruz

Christie

Santorum

Rubio

Jindal

Romney (he would have been a superb executive leader - immeasurably better than what we have)

Haley

Paul (Rand - his dad is a nutcase)

I would love to see Jeff Sessions run, but he's too smart to try.

Of those I see really only two with a good shot. Any would be much superior to Hillary (though she would be a much, much better president than Obama)

Both would cause you and your brethren to have a stroke. Well worth it.

Al Sharpton would drive you and your brethren nuts, but it doesn't mean I'd want him anywhere near the Oval Office.

ty. at least he is honest about their intention i.e. #### America.

Can't believe there are people willing to vote for Cruz or Santorum let alone admit to it.
Cruz is a Harvard educated lawyer, and perhaps a bit of an ideologue....much like the guy we have in there now, only smarter

he also taiught "Supreme Court Litigation" which is probably pretty similar to teaching "constitutional law."
