my driveway line boundaries were finally painted by the DPW last week.

now i gots a big white box to chase fools out of, no more worn down/faded lines.

having an urban driveway is a non stop slobberknocker.

So much illegal parking. Glad to have the lines to point to, I'm sure. Public Works. Never stop believing in community, otb. Never stop.

i have come to blows once already over it  ... not to mention bribes from any # of neighbors to either park there, or in my garage.

Oh no. Not sure what to recommend in lieu of that, but that sounds drastic.

Awesome. That's really the only part of that movie I remember, actually. I thought it was so cool when I saw it. I know it was a send-up, but I thought the poetry was cool with the upright bass and all, IIRC.

I love LOVE the movie. any scene of his dad, especially giving crap to the melon. Arkin trying give Lapaglia the tv-version of a cop he wants. the endless cameos. it's a silly movie that doesn't try to be anything else. and before I wore out on Meyers (just occurs to me... he has been really absent). and it randomly has my friend in it!

Awesome. I have to give it a re-watch. I remember so little about it.

no lyrics here. Me and The Distillers wound up in a copyright dispute. Wouldn’t you know it? That howling was backed by corporate entities. So much for rebellion!

is there at least a 4chan workaround?
I was totally kidding. The album is a lot of wailing about pain and suicide, and I don’t want you guys getting the idea that the quotes are relevant to your posts.

Can’t have that, really. Brodie was upset about something in that album, that’s for sure. It’s like a breakup album for her and Tim Armstrong. (She started dating Josh Homme right after.)

more concerning if they were relevant to your posts

I'm all for non-sequiturs. or else I would've kept haggis in my pocket, where it belongs.

I lnow i haven't seen you much in the LZ thread, maybe a couple times?

anyways, that monstrosity of a song made the top
If you look at the beginning of the thread and look for me, you'll know why. All the hicks in junior high and high school listened to Zeppelin. I disliked those people, and by extension, their music. They're the reason our politics is in disarray at this point. The huge, suburban, lower-middle class pick-up driving mafioso.

Hated their attitude, disliked them, was not fond of their music.

So Zep, to me, is like Pink Floyd to Johnny Rotten (I know, I know, he liked the Floyd).

ooooff.

welp, i'm not gonna do politics here, you know that ... you know it's my "no fly zone" on this bored.

but i will say the left has done more than their fair share, as well.

more, imo.

Just by way of explaining. I don't really do politics in the FFA, either. But if there's a class of people that I tend to loathe, it's old Zep listeners from my junior high and high school days. Just anathema to me.

You just finish the Distillers chapter or is this all glorious happenstance?

Glorious happenstance. I actually left off right before I got to The Distillers. I have read through the Thursday chapter so far. I think it's because I got Coral Fang on vinyl last week and have been playing it fairly consistently, especially over the weekend. And Coral Fang is indeed their major label debut. I should read that chapter, then.

Very interesting.

And yes, it's warm and humid on Swanston Street
