Simple pasta technique

This is pretty basic but i like technique. I do something like this, but with basil and oregano instead of pepper, and i pan fry chicken in the oil i use for the pasta so the sauce has a little of that flavor too, but i don't use the pasta water and for some reason never thought to use a shallow pan for spaghetti.
