She’ll say something complimentary like, “the yard looks nice,” you know, just to acknowledge the effort, and I’ll start in with “yeah, I might be over watering. It’s just been sooooooo dry. I noticed some mushrooms and I’m concerned about fungus. I’ll probably do some nitrogen fertilizer treatments soon to keep it nice and greened up… What do you think about adding some low juniper in front of the Pygmy palms to balance out the front of the house? ” It’s like I can’t read the “uh huh” and walking away social cues from her when it comes to the yard … :lmao:
