Free Tuna! (1 Viewer)

Federal law requires 5 ounce cans to contain between 2.84-ounces and 3.23-ounces of tuna, depending on the type. The customers said StarKist cans were a little bit below those minimum requirements.
Who the #### weighs their tuna and files a lawsuit over it? :lmao:

Sweet, I should be getting contacted as I buy tuna all the time. I'll be taking the tuna instead of the cash.

On a related note, I typically weigh my food with a digital scale and a few years ago I noticed that my Starkist chunk light tuna would sometimes come up light. I sent them a cordial e-mail through their website and forgot about it. About a month later I got a letter thanking me, apologizing for the error, and 3 coupons for a free can of tuna.

How would they know if you bought tuna or not?

Otis should get a boatload with that diet he was on.

Pathetic losers who have found no other cause or purpose to live their lives with than to look for free money by looking for any lawsuit they can complain about.

They're the same losers who live at retail stores demanding things for 75% off and who send in low service ratings if you don't bow at their feet.

Settlement is $8 million for the cash and $4 million in the vouchers. By the time they actually finish this later this year, they will have so many claims you will be lucky to get enough to buy one can.

"If you are eligible, you may submit a claim for either (a) a cash payment of $25, or (b) $50 in product vouchers redeemable for StarKist tuna products (the “Settlement Benefits”). You may choose to claim the cash payment or the product vouchers, whichever you prefer. These claim amounts may be subject to pro rata dilution if the total amount of claims exceeds the available settlement funds."

All of us here at Schooner Tuna sympathize with all of you hit so hard by these trying economic times. In order to help you, we are reducing the price of Schooner Tuna by 50 cents a can. When this crisis is over, we will go back to our regular prices. Until then, remember, we're all in this together. Schooner Tuna. The tuna with a heart.
