Did you see him play Sunday?Well, still leaves questions about the injury. Frye is not terrible.
link?Yes this is official.
Agreed. If you announce the guy as your starter, pull him after 20 minutes, and then trade him the following week you should be FIRED.What a catastophe that Browns organization is. I bet 90% of Madden franchise players could do a better job than that dog & pony show.
The story at that link has already changed to say he "may" have been traded. This is the only link that I've seen confirming a trade. But it does not disclose to which team he was traded.

Charlie Frye Sent Packing: Browns Quarterback Traded!

According to WTAM, Charlie Frye has thrown his last pass for his hometown Cleveland Browns. The quarterback, who starred at Akron and was a 3rd round draft pick has been traded according to the radio station. The Atlanta Falcons are rumored to be the recipient of the QB. It makes sense because many believe that Frye is more of a West Coast offense QB and they brought in a coach (Bobby Petrino) to run that offense with Michael Vick before his legal troubles suspended the quarterback.
The Browns will use the roster space to clear way for Ken Dorsey who is looked at as a mentor for young Brady Quinn. It looks like Quinn will be starting sometime very soon, although Dorsey may get the nod this week against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Nate Ravitz: (12:07 PM ET ) Charlie Frye traded to the Giants. No fantasy impact.
Wow, what a trainwreck the Cleveland organization is. In 20 minutes Frye went from being good enough to start the opener to not even good enough to keep on the roster.1050 ESPN Radio just reported that reports out of Cleveland indicate that Frye will be traded OR released.
Or just lock/delete it since it doesn't seem to have any sort of proof at this point. Can someone please merge this redundant thread with the existing one?

POSTED 1:05 p.m. EDT, September 11, 2007FRYE FLIES WESTJay Glazer of FOX reports that the Cleveland Brownshave traded quarterback Charlie Frye to the SeattleSeahawks.Terms of the deal are not yet known. On Tuesday morning, the Seahawks acquired an extradraft pick via the trade of defensive end Bryce Fisherto the Titans. Maybe that pick was sent to Clevelandfor Frye. The Seahawks previously were linked to quarterbacksKelly Holcomb, who was traded from Philly toMinnesota, and Mark Burnell, who remains with theRedskins. The addition of Frye could allow the Seahawks toincorporate Seneca Wallace more heavily into game-daypreparations at the receiver position, with theability to make Wallace the interim starter if MattHasselbeck suffers a multi-week injury. Under thatapproach, Frye would be the in-game backup. However, this would prevent the Seahawks from making Wallace orHasselbeck the extra "emergency" quarterback that isnot part of the 45-man pool of active playerson gamedays.just read hes a Seahawk.. nice try
