In Yao's mind those 4 TD's and 178 combined yards never happenedSomething tells me you are getting undeserved enjoyment out of this. As part of this revelation do they invalidate all the TDs Gado scored in prior weeks?

At least this thread has been useful for something other than a pissing match. Thanks for the info. I had Fisher selected to drop on waivers tonight. I've pulled the request and will reevaluate my situation.
Because we love nuggets off the waiver wire that can help us win a championship. Such players are fantasy gold. They spark the imagination and give us bragging rights. And when we hit the mother lode, it allows us to reaffirm our fantasy deity status by crushing lesser mortals in our leagues using the very player(s) they snubbed. Yes, I have a Gado complex. But why is Gado getting so much love yet Green was dissed in this forum? Also, Gado almost went to goat last week with his two fumbles.I'm not sure his YPC average matters all that much. The Packers have a good enough passing offense to get him into the red zone. Earlier in the season, Favre was scoring 2-4 TD's per game with short passes to his receivers inside the 20. Now, probably half of those will be run in by Gado. For your opponents, he is indeed a "Nightmare".
In Gado We Trust.![]()
Xactly - as I pointed out earlier, this situation is all about opportunities. Gado is going to get touches, and some of those will come at the goal-line. Even during his "bad" start this year, he had 26/62/1 rushing and 1/9/0 receiving (27 opportunities), followed by 25/103/2 rushing and 4/5/1 receiving (29 chances).
I'll be happy with a weekly total along the lines of his "bad" start (71 yards combined and 1 td) while hoping for an upside like his "good" start (108 yards combined and 3 TDs) -- YPC doesn't weigh heavily here, as Green Bay was mired among the bottom 4 teams in the NFL - right around 3.0 yards per carry as a team - before Gado ever touched a ball. Right now, they are 30th in the NFL averaging 3.1 yards per carry this season.
I'm happy to have Gado on the 2 rosters where I managed to snag him, as I indicated earlier in this string.![]()

Here are the highlights, I love it!Fla\/\/edMan, those guys did hate Gado. But I'm ready for some Gado, some Monday Night Gado!Certainly glad I didn't pay any attention to the Dynamic Duo Gado haters, Fla\/\/ed & Yao Ming
Gado=One Hit Wonder
I watched the game and I'm a proud member of the Anti-Gado Man-Love Club.
(Previously Posted: Sherman knows what he has in Gado) --> A 3rd to 4th string RB that was pressed into duty due to injuries.
What is also amusing is that if Ahman Green averaged 2.3 yards a carry against Pitt we would have multiple threads about how worthless he is
His yards per carry were not above average. If Ahman Green put up those numbers yesterday people would be complaining again that he was a bust.
Everyone wants to think they found a diamond in the rough with Gado but he will be just another Rondell Mealey.
Please remember it took Gado 26 carries to get to 62 rushing yards.
Yao Ming
Gado's performance was poor no matter which way you choose to slice it. He didn't even look as good as Jonathan Wells today.
I watched the entire Packers game, as well as the Houston game. Gado is no Jonathan Wells. Gado had a few nice runs, but his overall performance was quite poor.
It would have been nice to see Gado break even ONE tackle. Dude went down like a sack of potatoes at the slightest contact
18 of Gado's 26 carries went for 2 yards or less. Very little tackle breaking on his part and overall a very poor performance.
Yes, but most of them face 8-man fronts the majority of the time. Somehow I don't think Gado required that to be contained.
The Nigerian looks "gassed" all the time. Did you notice the bloated belly on that chap?
Oh boy, that's what you get for talking Gado down to EVERYBODY without even considering the situation. You were set against Gado from the get-go without looking at the entire situation (Poor O-Line, 1st significant playing time, limited time with team, Great Run Def.) Take it down a notch next time and it won't be so embarrassing. Cheers!![]()

Oh really? But trueFlaVVed and Yao Ming afraid to post now and running their mouth to everybody about how Gado sucked? Sucks being close minded doesn't it.

Got to admit that MNF was my first chance to actually watch him run and it didn't look good, but the criticism I hear doesn't bother to explain how successfully he ran in weeks 9 and 10.
I do see the issue of fumbling, but wonder if it is due to lack of experience, and can the coaching staff do something to fix it...or is the coaching that bad in GB they just bench him for it?

LOL...if your stance was that Gado was a "one-hit-wonder" (your words, not mine), than you are already wrong, because he had 2 good games, and you really shouldn't be rubbing anything in anyone's face at this point. I think all of this back and forth "in-your-face" stuff on Gado is silly. It is still way too early to pass judgement on this guy.WRONG!

You know, sometimes these guys really do turn out to be gems. In fact, most years there are one or two of them just waiting to be snagged, but only if you're open-minded to the possibility that a guy you've basically never heard of just might be about to blow up.Last year you had out-of-nowheres in Droughns and Goings.WRONG!

My point was that we shouldn't be so quick to think Gado was or could be the real deal. We have seen this situation many times in fantasy football. Guys want to think they found a gem and are ready to proclaim that they are a fantasy god. After Gado's first game, my point was that if Ahman Green produced those numbers against Pitt, many people would have started more threads on what a disappointment he was. Yet, behind that same offensive line, Gado was now a viable play. He fumbled twice last week, which I mentioned, but some were quick to ignore that. Last night he fumbles and Sherman puts him to the bench for the most of the second half. I'm sure his numbers really hurt fantasy owners yesterday.
Yeah, it's too early to pass judgement for his HOF vote. Not to criticize, but we're talking FF here. You have to make a quick judgement call or your toast on the waiver wire. In my league, if you snooze, you lose.If you guess High and are wrong, you end up with a dud on your roster or a loss because you started him.LOL...if your stance was that Gado was a "one-hit-wonder" (your words, not mine), than you are already wrong, because he had 2 good games, and you really shouldn't be rubbing anything in anyone's face at this point. I started Gado as my RB3 in the flex this weekend. My other two runningbacks - Larry Johnson (not a Priest owner) and Rueben Droughns. Here's my take on what happened Monday Night. Against the Falcons he ran hard, made a decision on where to run and went there, hard. After looking at the film, it was obvious to him and the coaching staff that he made some wrong decisions. So Monday night it was pretty evident he wasn't running on instinct, rather he was thinking too much, which slowed him down considerably resulting in a horrible performance. He doesn't get the whole blame though, as the O line couldn't open any holes for anyone. In Yao's mind those 4 TD's and 178 combined yards never happenedSomething tells me you are getting undeserved enjoyment out of this. We don't know how good he can be, the fumbling is a problem. It's 3 games and he has shown flashes of greatness. He can block out of the backfield, correctly picking up the blitzers, and he has some pretty good hands catching the ball.
He needs work, but I can see him being the featured RB next year with a lot of practice, and the right coaching.
It may just be that I want to believe in Gado, but this seems to be right on target.I don't disagree with you, and I don't believe in Gado at all. I don't know where people are inferring that I do like Gado - I've never made a comment about the guy's ability whatsoever. In fact, my post states that it is too early for me to say anything. or one-hit wonder meant that he came and made a impact and then quickly disappointed. One-hit wonder didn't necessarily mean one-game. I'm not going to argue on the semanitcs of my phrase. My other point was that it is too early for anyone to be bragging about their opinions (positive or negative) on Gado right now, and that all the in your face stuff from both sides is silly.
And (to another poster) yes, you can make a move in FF without passing any judgement about whether or not Gado is a legit player. You can pick up the guy, put him on your bench, watch him play well, and still think there is a high probability he will suck next week.
Sweet Gezus you're anal. Arguing between one hit wonder and flash in the pan? C'mon, that's absurd.I don't disagree with you, and I don't believe in Gado at all. I don't know where people are inferring that I do like Gado - I've never made a comment about the guy's ability whatsoever. In fact, my post states that it is too early for me to say anything. My point was that if some says Gado is a one-hit wonder, and he has two good games, then that person was wrong - categorically. Given this, I believe that person should not be on anyone else's case about how "wrong" they are or how "right" he/she is on this issue, because it lacks clarity. As I said, "one-hit wonder" were his words, not mine. If he said "flash in the pan", then I wouldn't have a problem.PRACTICE SQUAD RB... It's not like he is just an undrafted RB.. He sat on the practice squad all year free for ANY team to claim him.. Obviously no team saw anything that would make him an NFL RB.. Continue to choke on your backing of a guy you picked up without any clue to seeing talent. Cause if you saw the game Monday you saw he doesn't ahve the talent to be a good back..LOL...if your stance was that Gado was a "one-hit-wonder" (your words, not mine), than you are already wrong, because he had 2 good games, and you really shouldn't be rubbing anything in anyone's face at this point. I think all of this back and forth "in-your-face" stuff on Gado is silly. It is still way too early to pass judgement on this guy.WRONG!
Where did I write that Gado is a POS? All I wrote was that he was a one-hit wonder. Then after last week, some were quick to blast me as owned. I wasn't going to respond to that because is was laughable to see that written so prematurely. Anyways, my first post was supposed to be light-hearted, but I guess it didn't come across that way.Why use the word "one" at all? why not say something less refutable? But I guess this kind of diction should be expected of a four digiter.or one-hit wonder meant that he came and made a impact and then quickly disappointed. One-hit wonder didn't necessarily mean one-game. I'm not going to argue on the semanitcs of my phrase. I'm also not the one that had to throw out owned comments so quickly in this short career like some guys did last week.

If you want to play semantics, he didn't say one GAME wonder, he said one hit, which can mean any number of "one things" namely one season. But, if he meant "one season", then he'd be wrong too, unless he believes Gado will play well for the rest of the year. Right now, Gado has had 0 good seasons. Why use the word "one" at all? why not say something less refutable? It may not mean so literally, but taken in context by non anal retentive posters, it means someone who won't last long in a FF/NFL sense.
I would like to qualify this last statement by saying that it was made to further emphasize my anal-retentive position, in case there was any confusion about that. But, if he meant "one season", then he'd be wrong too, unless he believes Gado will play well for the rest of the year. Actually Fla\/\/ed after the Packers ~ vs ~ Steelers game (Gado's first game by the way) you wrote a lot more than that. All I wrote was that he was a one-hit wonder.
Gado=One Hit Wonder
Have you not seen the manlove for Gado by some people here?
I'm a proud member of the Anti-Gado Man-Love Club.![]()
please don't tell me you are one of those Gado man-lovers?
Now remember Fla\/\/ed, you wrote all of the above after only ONE GAME from Gado.Everyone wants to think they found a diamond in the rough with Gado but he will be just another Rondell Mealey.
So let me see if I've got this right Fla\/\/ed. After seeing Gado for only ONE GAME, your comments on Gado were neither laughable nor premature, but after seeing Gado for TWO GAMES, other peoples comments suddenly became laughable & premature? Then after last week, some were quick to blast me as owned. I wasn't going to respond to that because is was laughable to see that written so prematurely.
