Assuming I know who Missandei is I never understood why she appeals to so many.  Agree on fake Sansa though.  Where do you put Rob Stark's wife?

Game of Thrones’ Dany/Dothraki storyline doesn’t make any sense



She's effectively asking the Dothraki to abandon their entire way of life. Why should they?

- People have alluded to this and I kind of agree. I know she has them in their thrall, but these are desert people, they are to walk across a continent, get on boats when they have never seen the sea and maybe not even lakes, they're supposed to get on a thousand ships, go lord knows where (these people know what Westeros is?), then disembark vs a wholly new foe on their home turf in brand new geography and just take them over?

I realize these are basically the Mongols redivivus but even they crossed the steps and plains and then once they crossed into Central Europe and the hills and forests and wetlands.... nope, never mind, going back to the steppes.

IIRC the only reason the Mongols stopped moving west was internal political destabilization. 

Dany's on the verge of making a big heel turn here, crossing to Westeros with the equivalent of the Vikings and Mongols. Seems like that's the kind of threat that would get most groups to drop their squabbling and unite against her.

Their way of life is following the orders of the chief who kills the most of his/her rivals. It's not a big departure for them except the sailing part. I don't think they're mass migrating, the warriors are going to head over to Westeros, murder/rape/pillage, and bring the goodies home. That's their way of life. It's just a longer trip this time, with the potential of much greater rewards.

In Season 4 we see the Melisandre in a bath with no necklace, she looked young and her boobs were succulent. She doesn't get her powers from jewelry.

To be fair, the Mongols tried to invade Japan by crossing the sea.....and IIRC, they really only stopped in Europe because the Khan died forcing them to go back to Mongolia to chose a new leader. 

 
They're probably following Danerys because she said instead of choosing three lieutenants or whatever she called it she made everyone a lieutenant.  Knowing what we know about Dothraki society, having that kind of rank probably means lots of ladies to have sex with in public and for them that's most likely worth traveling the earth with the dragon lady.

Yeah, Dothraki are pretty simple folks.   They like to fight and ####, and they're crazy superstitious.   A lot of these people are the same ones that followed Drogo when he was the most powerful khal and then ran off when he died.  They were willing to follow Drogo across the sea, and they know she has three dragons, not just the big black one.

The only reason the Mongol invasion of Japan failed was there was a well timed (in the view of the Japanese) typhoon that wiped out the Mongol fleet. The Japanese called it the "Divine Wind" which essentially is the word "Kamikaze".

 
I think the real Sansa would show pretty nicely if they'd get her out of those table cloth gowns she's always in.....

Can we go back further than this season?   I would take Mrs. Robb ahead of all of them.  I could use that attack attack scene and nothing else and be good.   The ex hooker that was danny's friend and sat in a tub with her brother season one.   It is known.  Yknjs is one of the most beautiful redheads I've ever seen.  Ginger hooker belongs pretty high on that list too.  Brunette hooker before she got gingered in the Geoffrey incident.  Dead wildling.  The girl who carries bran.  The kennel owner's daughter. Her blonde friend who started a 3 way with theon before the dedicking.  The girl with the busted teeth that theon banged on the boat season one then told her not to smile.  The other fire priestess we met this season.  The translator.  Some of the girls Merrin trant said were too old. The spare hookers with the imp in the first episode.  The one bran was hooking up with when the hound started picking a fight with him before blackwater.  The one bran married.  The one who actually got married at the red wedding.  Tommen's sister. Shay and her horrendous annoying accent. The little elf girl in the tree throwing magic grenades. If we're going to do this we need to dig deep.

I think there were a number of reasons. Infighting, huge losses of men and trouble fighting as they moved west into a different climate and geography.
