Better episode overall, a few thoughts...

- just get it right out the way, my sand snake moved. She's up there with Missandei, Dany, and Robb's wife who I always liked.

- Religious fanatic storyline is weak - one of the weakest the show has told and I hope it's self-contained in this season.

- it's been 2 years since I've found anything Dany has done interesting, hoping that's about to pick up.

- Jon Snow has become the best character and story on the show, I didn't think I'd ever see that.

- How long are Brienne and Podrick going to hang out? It's obviously been a while since they've gotten to wherever they are. Move on in. Also that woman getting flayed was brutal. Sansa has bad luck with men, being setup with the two biggest psychopaths in the world.

Tommen is without a small council. Tywin is dead, Tyrion is gone, Varys is gone, Mace Tyrell is gone (not that he was of any use), Cersei and Margaery are in the dungeon ... the only ones left are Maester Pycelle and Littlefinger, and Littlefinger doesn't have an official position there anymore, so it's really just Pycelle.

Who is Tommen supposed to listen to regarding whether to attack the Sparrows? Is he going to start making his own decisions?

King's Landing could easily be taken now.

My two ideas:1. Littlefinger wasn't talking about Lancel. He was talking about Tommen. He either has proof Tommen is not Rob's son or he thinks he can get Tommen to be controled by the Tyrells somehow.

2. I'd put money right now on Stannis' witch convincing his wife to kill his daughter. And that is going to be the beginning of Stannis' end.

There has now been a scene with an attempted rape on Gilly, and a bonding scene between Gilly and Shireen. I think Stannis decides to let the witch have her way, but Sam has already sent them off together to get them out of harms way. Not good for Sam...

not sure what the writers are waiting for. hell, all of the above should have happened within he first half of season one.

I love Tyrion, but I am just not sure what he brings to this specific situation that will improve it besides some humor. He doesn't have gold or ships, his family name is garbage now, he is not an elite warrior. Maybe I am missing something, but I just don't know what we get out of him besides some advice- maybe he gets her ### to the Iron Bank since he knows how much the throne owes?

I think his character would have been better served staying in Westeros on the run and undermining Cersei. Not sure anything less than him riding off on a damn dragon will have made this slow build up and Dany's story the past few seasons worth it.
