It seems to me he's just working the kid, drawing him into his influence, he knows Cersei and the Tyrell family stand in his way. And it seems to me Sparrow was offering a partnership because Tommen sees that he can control his mother and wife with Sparrow's help, but that is a choice he will have to make.
I don't think it will influence the past as the Three-eyed Raven said that the past has been written. I think it is something that it is something Bran learns and uses for the present day.
There was something about Joffrey though. I hated him, but he was always really entertaining. I don't find Ramsey anywhere near as interesting. When Joff died, I was a little disappointed to have lost such a great character. I won't miss Ramsey for one second.
Joffrey was twisted, tortured and conflicted, I agree Ramsey is cardboard often.
I don't think it matters who goes up against Mountainstein as he will be unstoppable. Loras is more show than anything anyway.
The actor of Joffrey also looked a little inbred, yet royal somehow as well. Perfectly cast.
He's there for a reason, not just to carry young Merlin/Bran around. Vassals and squires like Pod and Ollie can play important roles in the story.
Killing their uncle who controls their homeland and it's army seems like an unwise move. Ditto on killing the leaders of the wealthiest kingdom and the family of the Queen.
He's not unstoppable. If the show has taught us anything, it's that anyone can be killed. Nobody is unbeatable.
Ramsey is way too one-note to be a great villain. Joffrey had a little more to him, or at least grew into a monster. Ramsey has been the same since the first second on screen. The show is better when we have more complex characters running around - bad guys like Tywin.
It can't be coincidence that they brought the hound up during Aryas training. And she had to correct herself that she left him for dead instead of being dead. I'm guessing he's alive and will be Mountain v Hound.
That would be awesome, but why would the Hound be doing the bidding for a guy like the Sparrow. He would just do it to take down his brother?
The Red Viper would've killed him when he was fighting for Tyrion if he would've just shut the F up during their duel.
Yah. Same as Oberyn. Or maybe the sparrow saved him in exchange for a future fight etc. Who knows. But they brought Hound up randomly it felt. Gotta be a bit of a foreshadow.
I took them mentioning him more on the lines of an upcoming test for her - like Trant. Maybe the Faceless man morphs into him to see what she does or they know where he is and she crosses paths with him. I think it would be more interesting to have Arya encounter him than him fight his brother.

I thought the exact same thing when he smiled. I also was thinking how I think it will be impossible for this guy to get another acting job and ever be thought of as anything other than a loathed POS no matter what role he's cast in.
I liked the scenes when Arya was his cup bearer and we got a better look at what Tywin went through to keep things rolling as he did.. He's obviously the bad guy yet it's hard not to have some respect for him when you watch him at work.
I think Olly gets too harsh a rap. If a group of marauders bust your door in when you were a kid and butchered your entire family in front of you, how eager would your teenage self be to befriend and welcome these same people into your home with open arms a couple of years later?
Yeah. Olly deserves OG respect. Guy stood tall and made Jon Snow look away like a litte #####....despite the fact that Jon was the one holding the sword.
Agreed. I don't like the character - the way you're supposed to "like" a villain - or think much of the actor. It's completely a one-note role. Even Roose was far more interesting than Ramsay.
It's always been obvious that Ned wasn't his father and his sister was Jon's mother.
For sure. For my tastes, more "bad guys" like Roose, Tywin, The Hound, Littlefinger running around and less one one characters like Ramsey or on the good side Brienne.
