Game of Thrones, tv only, books don't exist, no backstory...NERDS already ruining a series that hasn't started (10 Viewers)

can dragons swim like ducks and land/float on the water? or will they have to fly all the way to westeros... or perch on one of the boats to rest?

Ha I thought of that as well - gliding high like gulls or albatross, birds that fly long distances, might have made sense, but the wing flapping would probably get pretty damned exhausting after maybe 30 miles even for a dragon.

Yup. Truly great character. Biggest questions for her may be who ends up killing her and how incredible is her death going to be?
Either Tyrion or Jamie would be the most appropriate.

Tryrion certainly deserves a face to face before the series is over.

I've really enjoyed Tyrion and Dany finally getting together the last couple of seasons but I miss Tyrion being in King's Landing. Dinklage and Headey are great together.

Two hours ago they were predictions, now they're spoilers.  Also conveniently dropped out of explaining how Varys was telegraphed.
I don't know about telegraphed but a bunch of us predicted Varys to Dorne as his logical next stop last week. That prediction wasn't really eyebrow raising.

Very underrated part of the show is the slow, painful evolution of John Snow's character. For all his success this season, it seems like he still does not view himself as the kind of leader other people expect him to be.

1. He was unsuccessful building consensus among the families of the North to fight against Ramsay - Only Davos and Lyanna Bolton's rousing speeches convinced some of the smaller families to join him.

2. John Snow reacted carelessly when charging the Bolton army after Rikon's death. He was goaded by Ramsay and found himself in no man's land. Only his army bailed him out at the last second (with Davos making the money call to attack)

3. It was Sansa's maneuver to secure Lttlefinger's services that turned the balance of power in the war. John was vehemnelty against recruiting more help.

4. Even last night, it was again Lyanna who was able to convince the Manderlys, Glovers and Cerwyns to support John as King of the North. He convinced noone with his own speech. In fact, the look on John's face after receiving their support was more sheepish than confident.

What does it mean for next season? Ultimately, John needs to grow into the leader he was destined to become. He needs to find his voice and his confidence. Maybe that will happen after learning about his Targaryen/Stark lineage.

see I don't even know who tommen is/was.  is this just one of those shows that's hard to jump in on in the middle?
:lmao:

Reminds me of a friend who joined us for a GOT watch last night.  This was her first time watching the show.  She started to ask questions and I was like don't do this.

we touched on Arya and the faces... does she have to kill somebody to get a face (like how she did with the waif)? if so- she's seemingly killing strangers (not on the list) to push her agenda. girlfriend gone bad.

She could have packed it in dry ice in Braavos and traveled with it.

The shot where Tommen watches the Sept burn then walks away - the framing of that shot (centered on burning building - symmetrical with the columns and intricate shades of the castle's windows) and it stayed there for like 5 seconds - I honestly thought my hbogo froze... You never see cinematic pacing like that in Tv shows.
Did this particular shot remind anyone of anything?

I think I read somewhere that this is all and good, but if so much time really has passed, then why isn't Gilly's baby a toddler yet?
See, I was thinking exactly the opposite. It struck me that time HAD passed because the baby WAS a toddler.

Arya was the girl all along. There's really no reason to think otherwise. She was eyeballing Jamie at the dinner because she recognized him. She was probably surprised to see him there or to see anybody there that she knew.

Lots of people that have seen every episode don't even know what's going on. I can't imagine following the show by just jumping in at any point. Especially in that it's ruining what might be the best tv show ever made.

I was thinking this exact same thing.

And if they have to hang out in the water to rest, do they have to worry about sharks?  But they have fire, so they can burn the sharks, but the sharks are in water that will put the fire out.

So many unanswered questions!

I figure the fleet's not going to be that far away from land, the Dragons will probably have to return to land to feed/sleep and then catch up.

I was trying to remember where I heard that story- you posted it in here recently, right?
First time I posted it.  Someone else may have though.  Tough to keep track.

I'd imagine they will stop at a few spots along the way to kill some time in the show as well as a few uncle who think that women aren't fit to rule!

Yeah... just amazing, top to bottom.

Possible hubbies for Dany:

- obviously Jon

- Jamie

- Tyrion

- Bran

- greyjoy uncle

- bear island girl :pickle:
- fleet nearly smashes into Gendry in his row-boat, who quickly weds Dany.

- Breene of tarts' squire with the ####.
