Game of Thrones, tv only, books don't exist, no backstory...NERDS already ruining a series that hasn't started (6 Viewers)

Cersei is one demented #####. She owned Dorne in that setup.

Sansa should have been like... "Is Arya still alive?"

Bran seemed to be a little dead in the water. No happiness to seeing Sansa... something bad is going to happen there cause Bran knows it.

Does Arya get to Winterfell next week?

We are missing a lot of backstory to Euron and why he is so good at what he is doing. That is the one downer so far. He just shows up and is playing the best game with no problems. What are we missing here?

What a lot packed into one hour.

Jon meets Dani.

Sansa reunited with Bran,

Euron returns to KL victorious with plans for... the bum?!?

Casterly rock falls.

Highgarden falls.

Cersei's revenge on the Martells.

Sir Jorah cured.

Sam earns respect (somewhat).

Lady Olenna dies.

The tables get turned on Tyrion's plans.

The Lannisters get the ability to pay their debts.

Ha there been a more content packed episode?
also, Bronn sighting!!

A lot of chapters that provide the backstory you seek.

:faux pas:

Man, not gonna lie, this episode was way better than the previous two. I liked the other two fine, but this had the biting dialogue that hooked me from the start.

Jon: "so do you believe me about the army of the dead."

dany: "you better get to work Jon Snow."

Then the conversation with Cersei and the sand snakes, Euron wanting sex chat with Jamie, Tyrion doing Tyrion stuff, then Olenna going for the throat. Awesome.

There goes Dany's Westerosi allies. Likely this news will make her a little less rigid on her demands of Jon Snow. Cersei is no longer on the ropes but back in the fight. And with no one knowing it- she has a way to take the biggest ace Dany has off the table.

What is Littlefingers play now?  He can't go back to Cersei I assume, does she know he gave Sansa to Ramsay?

I assume she knows that he helped overthrow the Boltons but I can't remember if Ramsay was supporting the Lannisters after he killed his dad.

Maybe this isn't the show for you then. Lots of great stuff this week.
I am not saying it's bad TV, if it was I wouldn't be watching.  I agree some good stuff happened this week, and it is really good to have Tyrion actually speaking during the show.  I just don't think the acting from some main characters is that good - Dany, Jon, Bran mostly, so I check out a bit with them.

Just surprised that people seem to like it that much more than the first two is all.  I think Ep1 was good, and this was a little better than last week.

Davos was too calm talking about a battle where his son was killed.

Didn't like how they played that scene. Made for interesting tension between him and Tyrion but unrealistic.

Dang...not Lady Olenna!

Well, Dragon Woman is getting her but kicked.

Olenna told her not to listen to the dudes.
Yeah, as much as we like Tyrion, he is getting his ### handed to him by his siblings.  I am starting to get nervous about his shelf life with Dany and think that she is going to go bonkers and unleash the dragons soon (and I do think that crossbow will either kill or take one of the dragons out of the equation).

Hey @Frostillicus you've got this guy to yell at now TIA.

Good episode, but how in the hell did euron and his fleet defeat the fleet in blackwater bay and still get to casterly rock the same time as the unsullied?  Not to mention taking part in the celebration parade.

Do your really need subtitles like "6 weeks later..."?

Jorah was exiled because he took part in selling poachers to slavers, I think.  The reasons (which aren't spoiler-related in any way - just back story) are given in the books.

Wait... The WHAT!!?

What does "missing" mean to you? The first time we saw the mountain mow down 5 dudes at the same time did you think "what's this guy's deal? He doesn't look so tough. Where's the backstory? Was he an Eagle Scout gone wrong? What's the deal!?"?

I don't think that was his point.

The Unsullied and Yara's fleet left at the same time.  The Unsullied were already closer to Casterly Rock than Euron's fleet, yet Euron's fleet apparently had time to intercept Yara's fleet, go back to King's Landing, have a parade, make some sex jokes, and then sail to Casterly Rock ahead of the Unsullied fleet (who had been sailing that way the whole time, from a closer starting point and without any detours) to lay the trap.

Great episode. Still moving way too fast though this season. Would like some of these chess moves played out a bit more but the showrunners are clearly trying to wedge in alot of story into these two unnecessarily shortened seasons.

Anyone else a little shuked that Bran has turned into the fifth Beatle?

Jamie lose his heart there and go full heel?
If there was a time for it to happen, thought that might be it, against the killer of his son. That's why I have a hard time believing the speculation that he kills Cersai, maybe the only person he truly loves. Or is that the tragedy?

Lots of stuff isnt adding up right now on the timing of it all. One thing I wondered...no one saw all those people marching on Highgarden? Like a whole entire army can march the width of the country and no one notices? Not that they stood a chance but something Lady Olenna said that has yet to show its face in the answer...

She said there was a reason Tywin never marched and took her gold, but she never said why...Did I miss that or can we expect to learn the reason why he never marched as Cersei sent her men. She is not as smart as her father, just more evil. Clearly they were allies, but is there a bigger reason?

He does have a big fleet, send some to Blackwater with him and others to Highgarden?

Best episode of the season.  I agree it's moving fast. it doesn't bother me.  I rather enjoy it.  Could have had more battle scenes, but oh well.  it has moved really slowly at some points which is fine, just hate it when they are sludging through some arc of the story that's not that interesting to me. Everything going on now is interesting so I can see the argument to slow down.  But they only have so many shows left and lots to get done.

I haven't seen every episode but I don't recall ever seeing that stupid tree. Either way it was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen on tv.

Ftr I thought it was an amazing episode before you call the nerd police on me.
That is how that tree has looked since season 1.

The trap would be arriving after the unsullied get there.  That way they are trapped in the bay and probably at anchor so the unsullied fleet cannot escape. The Greyjoy's only have to sink the ships to strand the unsullied on the land. Jamie's plan is based on making them march across the country to get back to dragonstone or die at easterly rock without food.

So these events will make Dany...

A: Become the Dragon and go scorched earth.

B: Learn some humility and get off of her "bend the knee" kick.

C: Continue on and have a short stay in Westeros.

A weirwood tree in the godswood of Winterfell. Weirwood is a species ofdeciduous tree found all over Westeros; it has white bark with five-pointed, blood-red leaves and sap. The heart trees are weirwood trees with faces carved on their barks found in the center of godswoods.
