Game Thread - Divisionals - New England V Denver (1 Viewer)

I don't know if Bailey was tired or what, but I've been dying for a long time to see one of these guys showboating towards the goalline get served.
he was tired - he wasnt showboating

Hey Fred....Brady is choking here.Edit to add: Been a Brady fan since he was at UofM. Pulling for the Pats tonight too.

Me too, but he wasn't showboating. Just assumed he could waltz in.

I think Champ was watching himself on the big screen but the camera angle didn't show him Ben Watson coming in from the side.

I'm just watching it on gamecenter. Anyone want to give me a run down of the play?
Bailey interception, two yards deep in the end zone. Runs it back 100 yards, Bailey slows up, Watson catches him, and knocks it out the back of the end zone. The refs rule it down on the 1, and confirm it after replay.

Mike Anderson runs it in for a TD.

Phil Simms makes me sick. :yucky: Him and his love affair with NE is grotesque. :X How he got appointed a play-by-play announcer baffles me to this day.

Now a minimum of 14 of the Broncos' 17 points are tainted, and New England is out of challenges for the refs' seemingly inevitable next missed call.

Broncos should've run the clock down to the 4th quarter before scoring.
Think it will make much difference now? NE couldn't get in the endzone tonigth if it was the cheapest date on the planet.

He may have been tired, but absolutely no reason for him to be holding the ball like that.
I really don't understand how a NFL CB could get tired going 100 yards. I would hope he was in better shape than that.
That was my thought as well. I think he just thought he could cruise in for the TD.

Funny how Simms says "when you do trick plays they don't always have to go for TDs."

In his book he says Parcells always used to yell him when they'd call a trick play and he'd check off to a WR 5 yards off the LOS. "Simms if I wanted you to throw the ball 5 yards that's not what I'd call!"
Big difference between 5 and 25 yard play. The ball was in the air at least 15 of those yards.
Also, how was that book? I was meaning to get it.

Tainted?Honestly, snorlax, you're better than that. You can't prove Bailey's fumble one way or another.

Come on...if you're going to blame someone, blame Brady. That should never have been thrown.

I've got the Denver D in my playoff league---I needed that 6 from Bailey. Great, now the Anderson owner get's the 6. Thanks to Bailey's dogging it, a 12 point swing.

Fixed it for ya.

Champ Bailey makes a pick in the EZ: :pickle: Runs it back for what looks like a sure TD: :headbang:

Watson catches up to him at about the 3 yard line and strips the ball:

Refs rule it a fumble OOB at the 1ish:

Thinking that it may have gone out in the EZ Pats throw the red flag: :penalty:

Replay rules DEN ball at the 1:

Pats all go like this: :sadbanana:

Gotta set the Pats up for all the excuses they'll sling out after the game.Nice run by Watson though on the overhead cam. He even had to get around the ref.

Wow. You should see the replay of Watson cutting down Bailey. Pathetic (for BAiley).

BS call!  Freaking Touchback!!
That was my first reaction too, but seriously, which replay conclusively reverses that call?
The thing is that the ref didn't say the replay was inconclusive, implying that the call on the field was conclusively shown to be correct. If the ref meant to say that the replay was inconclusive, he should've said that.

No offense, but in the regular season, we don't care about your fantasy team.In the playoffs, multiply that by about 1000.
