Game Thread W10 - Houston V Tampa Bay (1 Viewer)

I really hate when the Austin affiliate has to choose between the Cowboys and Texans because we know who they'll show. Please keep us Texans fans updated!

Bucs had 9 in the box on the touchdown play. (Edit: Make that 8 plus a corner)

Blocked PAT was the holder's fault. Ball slipped and was nearly horizontal when kicked, and went straight into the linemen in front of him.

Bucs are't bringing the safeties up very much to stop the run yet. Not sure if that is because Houston is throwing the ball a lot right now, or if it is their game plan.

Third and goal from the 9, Bucs jump offsides, incomplete pass to Mason. Texans get to repeat 3rd down and Schaub picked off by Talib on the goal line.

It wasn't a great pass, but that one is partially on Derrick Mason, who never turned and saw the ball when Schaub dumped it off quick in the face of a blitz.

Texans challenging the interception. Talib had it knocked free by Mason but recovered it. Texans challenging that it wasn't complete.

Texans win the challenge and Rackers gets a field goal.

Not sure I agree with the overturn on the interception. It was really close.

I definitely don't agree. Refs said the ball came out when the second foot was going to the ground. Looked like it came out when the third foot was going to the ground. DEFINITELY, don't think it was enough to overturn.

Announcers talking about Freeman having a taped thumb and having problems throwing to his left. Next play immediately after, Freeman throws to the left, ball comes out like a wounded duck but still a completion to Winslow, who gets flagged for a face mask at the end of the play. Bucs punt, Texans third possession coming up.

Bucs bring a safety blitz up the right middle but Texans ran Tate to the left for a first down.

Tate getting more non-breather carries so far this game than in the past.

DT Brian Price shook up. Bucs already thin on the D-line. He's up and walking off under his own power, but hobbling a little.

I was just about to say the Texans D-line is giving the Bucs some problems in both the passing and running game. And then they get out of their rushing lanes and Freeman has a nice run on 2nd and long.

Noticed on the very next play though that as the Texans rush started to leave the middle open again, Brooks Reed cut back inside to close it off though he was the outside pass rusher.

Tampa Offense -- most boring offense in the league to watch.

Never have seen this great potential in the Tampa offense. Young average talents across the board that put up a bunch of comeback stats last year.

Josh Freeman and Mike Williams were the sell highs of the offseason.

Announcers talking about the poor angles the tacklers took on that play. They are right, but that is something you see a lot when Foster gets in the open field. Between his size and his smooth, loping running style, defenders misjudge a lot against him once he is out in the open.

You are correct. The dude is simply a special Player, he makes it look so easy. As a Texans fan, I really hope McNair and Rick Smith sign him to a new deal during the offseason.

Bucs DT Brian Price obviously better after being shook up earlier, as he picks up a sack of Schaub.

Want to check the play-by-play later, but I think that is the third series so far that Tate got the first play (and in one case, first two plays) of, then Foster finished out the series.

Bucs with their best drive of the game so far. Freeman evades being sacked twice and then rushes for a first down. Then hits Mike Williams on a nice lob pass when he was being covered by Johnathan Joseph.

Bucs go for it on 4th down, pass broken up. Texans get the ball, after a penalty, 1st and 12 from their 2. Foster gets a handoff and there's a defender waiting for him on the goal line. He lunges to get the ball across the goal line to avoid a safety.
