Game Thread W10 - Minnesota V NY Giants (1 Viewer)

Shall I remind you all how Carolina going for 2 too early in the Super Bowl two years ago essentially cost them the game?
You really should read up on 2 point conversions more.
I don't need to read that chart to know what the deal is. And now, because they kicked the extra point, they are still within one possession of tying the game. And in case you forgot, in the Super Bowl, Carolina missed 2 two-point conversions and New England made 1. That is the difference of 3. And how many points did Carolina lose by? THREE.

What's going on is the Vikes defense and SP came to play today. The secondary has looked great, line is getting pressure, and the LBs are double-teaming Shockey.

This is what you call a Decent team playing down to their Competition.Either that, or the Vikes have been playing us all for fools and were just waiting for the 2nd half of the season to start their drive for the super bowl. ;)

 You never know in that division

What the Hades is going on in this game?
Regression to the mean...the Giants aren't as good as people have been hyping and the Vikes aren't quite as bad.
I would agree with the former, but not the latter. The Vikings are a bad team, but I am not convinced the Giants are as good as their record. How well they play on the road against Philly and Washington will say a lot.

You really should read that ARTICLE (it's not a chart). It specifically deals with the Carolina v New England super bowl. You have no idea what you are talking about.

Troy Williamson sighting. He's been kinda lost from the offense for a little while; I'd like to see what he can do. :hot: Lousy Bennett fumble.

:X :X Please no more 2-point conversion debate. I'd rather watch a turd flush down the can. In other news, Bennet with the fumble... get Moore in there for PeteSakes.

LMAO, coughlin is going to have a heart attack, shockey just watched the ball roll while the vikings player picked it up.

Incomplete pass, I think. Good job by Shockey clapping while Minnesota picks it up and runs with it. What the hell was he doing??

I did read it. And that is their OPINION. They can throw out all of the obscure stats and numbers they want, too. I am not saying I am right and you are wrong. I simply think early in the 3rd quarter or even early in the 4th quarter (like in the Car/NE SB) is too early to chase the points. Is there any doubt the refs are going to reverse this call in favor of the Giants?

If they rule incomplete can the Vikes turn around and throw a red flag and ask to see if the ball went backwards?

Yeah nothing like "opinion" based on a mathematical model made specifically for football situations like 2 point conversions vs some guy on the internet who thinks you should go for 1 when you are down by 2 and your offense has stunk all game and may not ever get a better chance at tying the game.

Wow, whether he was passing or not, that ball clearly went backwards. This is one of the most biased games I have ever seen officiated.

Good call.
The ball went backwards! How was that a good call?
Hmmm...I hadn't thought of that. I was so fixated on the incomplete pass as a result of his arm motion.Manning interception makes up for the bad call.
So were the refs. Does anybody know if Tice could have thrown a red flag and asked the refs to see if it was a lateral right after they made their decision?

I have no idea if this is true, but I thought you can't challenge a reversed call from a challenge.
