Game Thread W12 - Jacksonville V NY Giants (1 Viewer)

why do they continue to let msw drop tds??
You have to think that Lewis is the #1 target in the redzone because of his size, he also has 8 TDs on the season. MSW is the 2nd tallest receiver, certainly taller than Thomas. MSW is probably out there moreso because of Underwood's brutal game last week than his being 100 percent healthy. Thomas caught the slant pass to get it to the 5 yard line. As for MSW dropping the TD pass. If it weren't within the last two minutes of the half, I'd have challenged the play because MSW was at down on his butt when the Giant player knocked it out of his hands.
Hard to call that a catch with the precedent set with the Calvin Johnson "incompletion"
The precedent is wrong.

JDR's seat getting a little less hot with this game so far.
hot seat when you're in first place?
Coming into the season JDR was on the hot seat. You would be hearing a lot of talk about it if the Jags were 4-6 instead of 6-4.
i'm well aware that he looked to be dead man walking but he's gotta get some of the credit now for the team overachieving.
Absolutely he deserves a lot of credit for how well the team has played at times. This morning I heard one of the ESPN radio guys say that JDR is doing a great coaching job this year.

INT! Giants need to get 7 from it.

Please don't fumble it away Bradshaw.

Tynes kicks his 3rd field goal of the game following a Jags turnover to start the 2nd half. Jags lead down to 17-9. Like last week when the Jags offense turned it over, the defense bails them out by giving up a minimal amount of points. If the Jags offence continues to turn it over, I suspect they won't win the game like they did last week against the Browns.

this season is a repeat of 2009 season for Giants fans. Started off hot then couldnt stop a freaking 3rd down conversion or get timely points when needed

Can't believe Giants are down, there 2 best wr's are out, Hagan is terrible, and they are still not throwing the ball up the gut to Boss....

They did that on 2nd down and Boss dropped the ball, he would have had a first down.

Boss scores for the Giants on 3rd down when the Jags blitz. Giants retake the lead 24-20. There is a little more than 3 minutes left.

That missed helmet-to-helmet call makes up for the missed call on the punt return.
I suppose so. Though the punt return was a play that should get flagged, the face mask-to-face mask was the type that most feel shouldn't get flagged. He didn't lead with the head.Gonna need chest pads that sick out further than the facemask to avoid that stuff.

On the Jags last drive, the Giants defense comes up big sacking Garrard once and forcing two fumbles by Garrard, recovering it the second time. Giants win the game 24-20.

Shutting down the screen game earlier really allowed them blitz with impunity on that final series. I kinda thought we had enough time to slip some runs before we started having to burn TOs on sacks.

That last drive really showed how much trouble the Jags OL was having without Monroe out there. JDR talked about having Lewis on the line more to give a hand on blocking, but I didn't see it that much.
