Game Thread W14 - Baltimore Ravens at Houston Texans (1 Viewer)

I think the Ravens should have gone for it there.

If they make it, the game is over. If they miss it, it's the same as a punt except for about a 35-yard difference, but that's not a huge deal.
By your logic, teams should NEVER punt.
There are plenty of times to punt. But not when converting is somewhere around a 50-50 proposition, and converting increases your chance of winning way more than failing to convert increases your chance of losing.

Teams should never punt in the opposition half IMHO.Unless it's an extreme situation where you got sacked twice and it's 4th and 20 or something.

Not that anyone cares, but mounted a rally to take the lead fantasy wise up against Flacco and Mason. Was all set to win . . . and now comes OT.

I just don't get why coaches challenge plays like this. Doesn't he have someone in the booth watching the replay? The knee landed out of bounds, very clearly. Why waste a timeout?
You have to remember that he comes from the Andy Reid coaching tree. So it's his destiny to make horrible challenges and never win them.
what he said.
Wait, what? Kubiak from Reid's coaching tree? How?
Yeah Kubiak is all Shanahan - they only mention it 20 times a game....

Kubiak coached under Mike Shanahan in Denver and prior to that he did a short stint as QB coach under George Seifert and 49ers

OUSTANDING  comeback and game. Playing an inspired 2nd half. I'd like to see Houston in the playoffs.

Yeah, not sure why my brain is only half functioning, but I was thinking of Harbaugh.

Texans playing with 3 downs now, not 4...

they'll be punting on 4th down, not going for it like last 2 drives

What an ending. Great job by the Ravens to hang in there and great game by the Texans. Bummer that they couldn't pull it out but this was a fun one.
