Saints fan here, but that is a TERRIBLE RULE. I'm glad it helps the Saints, but come on.

Why is that a terrible rule? Coaches have been abusing the challenge flags to stop plays and get the officials over to them just so they could yell at them when they had no intention of actually challenging a play since the dang rule came out and I've been saying all along either it should be a penalty or they should HAVE to challenge something when they throw the flag.I can't count the number of times prior to this year that coaches threw the challenge flag when the ruling on the field was down by contact and they thought it was a fumble, full well knowing that it's not a challengeable play, just so they could get the refs over there to b*tch about it.About time they got some accountability. Too bad this rule applies only to the under two minute part, the red flag isn't there to delay play so coaches can get there way.

Willaims is a good player, but that was a very bad play. He missed the tackle because he was trying to light up the receiver instead of making a play on where the ball was going.
