Game Thread W14 - New Orleans v Dallas (1 Viewer)

Are they seriously talking about how mad Parcells will be at Payton? WTF? It's football, and they're worried about him feeling bad for getting his ### kicked?
BP always makes it a point not to embarrass the other team because he doesn't like when it's done to him, so i'm pretty sure he'll remember this
When you're playing against one of the best comeback coaches in the history of the game, you step on his neck and you don't let up. Period. Parcells will get over it.

I'm actually rather unimpressed with both of these teams tonite. With Dallas giving up 40+ points, it moves their defensive grade from good to questionable. For the Saints, their offense was never in question. They have strong offense. The question mark with the Saints has been their defense. They really don't shut teams down enough. They give up too many points. And that won't change by giving up another 17 (at least) here. The Saints stand a good chance of coming away from this game with worse defensive statistics than when they came in.
Who impressed you today? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Huh? This is a dominating performance by the Saints. Calling it anything else is simply foolish.
No, its a dominating offensive performance. They need to show improvement on defense and a high-scoring affair doesn't do that. They still look too soft to me.
Now you've got him started. If you ignore BGPs once a game driveby, he'll go away.
Good point.I got :fishing: for one post.

How is this "embarrassing the other team"? It's not like they're lining up for a FG with seconds left during a blowout. Payton made a bold move with an onside kick that ended up putting the game away, but that Dallas offense is good enough to close a 35-17 gap with more than a quarter to play.

They are what they are. The '99 Rams defense was pretty mediocre but you wouldn't have known it given that every opponent seemed to be trailing by 3 TD's after the 1st quarter, allowing the Rams to play defense against offenses forced to throw. The Saints aren't quite that good on offense but they do seem to follow that formula for success and they appear to be playing their best football of the year right now, and they're getting better as they go.
Take away the long run and it's not a bad job by the Saints D. They are even playing prevent defense rather well.
Its not about one long run. Its about a season-long issue of not having a defense good enough to seriously contend. They are on pace to give up 330 points, which is pretty crappy. The only saving grace is that the NFC looks pretty poor as a whole, but that doesn't make the Saints a top team.

he doesn't seem like the guy that gets over things

It gets me all warm and fuzzy inside when the media hype machine looks foolish. I love seeing Dallas get a beat down.

I know earlier Michaels asked if the mentor relationship between Parcells & Payton would be soured a bit by this game & Payton doing the onside kick thing.

Madden said he doubted Parcells would think any less of Payton & if anything, was going to be mad with his team.

That was earlier though. If they're still bringing it up, must be because they're stretching for things to say in this blowout.

One of my buddy's childhood friends co-wrote the first two. Not sure how involved he was in the spin-offs

Is this the first or second straight-to-video edition?
:lmao: Second, I think.

And don't forget the straught to the circular file bin USA or TBS series they tried..

Impressive that the Saints can ram the ball down the field when the Cowboys know they're trying to run out the clock.

They arent saying Boooooooooo, they are saying *$&!*&@#) @!#(*_(# @#*(_ @(*# @(#*_!.

I hate this game. And now what do I do for the next 9 months......

THEY'RE NOT THE ####### BEST TEAM IN THE NFC YOU MORONS. AND BEATING DALLAS DOESN'T AUTOMATICALLY MAKE THEM THE BEST TEAM IN THE NFC EITHER YOU BAFOONS. SOMEONE PLEASE SHOOT MICHAELS AND MADDEN.

3 inch mystery = a hash line is 3 inches wideBall was spotted on the Dallas side of the hash, first down marker was on the Saints side.
:goodposting: Their second attempted explanation was even worse. Next time don't go to Nairobi for your information. :lmao: at Madden trashing the explanation as Al gave it.

Comeback in my league done (for those that cared). 3 point bonus for Deuce going over 100 means TO has to be HUGE to end the game, and he never plays well in losses like this.

TO quit in the 3rd quarter. He looks like he did when he had quit on the Eagles - guess his head "just isn't in the game"

I wouldn't mind running up the score in one of my other leagues and I have Carney, so I'll take the garbage FG.

You know what's more embarassing than losing 49-17? Having your opponent down the ball with 3 minutes remaining.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
