Game Thread W14 - Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys (2 Viewers)

:sigh:Physically yes - but you lead with your shoulder and "see what you hit". Head should be on the ball, which places the helmet off to the side.
I know what you meant. Problem is hits like that have been getting fined. I am startng to think Goodell wants everyone to have their helmets face up compeltely, even when tackling, so its all of your facemask hitting the guy, which can cause some serious injuries & actually throws off the defenders center of balance/leverage
What they clearly "want" is helmets "off the body" - on the side of the ballcarrier / QB. That's great - but not always possible as we all know. The game is extremely fast and there's no way to get 100 tackles a game using perfect technique.

Yea thats not going to happen. They are trying to make the impossible happen and frankly it is taking alot out of the game. Fixing what isn't broke. In other news, run the ball andy! ### #### it, McCoy & Harrison...use them,, take pressure off vick

I just need McCoy and Witten to outscore Jackson and Akers by 3 in the second half in ppr. That really shouldn't be too much to ask, should it?

Anyone else watching the game on NBC and following it thru CBS gamecenter? Not sure why I am, but I'm noticing that CBS is actually ahead of NBC's feed. First time i've seen this happen
Are you watching HDTV? I think there is processing of the signal that make the signal lag behind real time. I notice it most when I hear the local radio broadcast and am watching the game on tv.

think direct tv has the delay

It is absolutely painful being a Miles Austin owner since Romo got hurt.

Now the Cowboys are featuring Kevin Ogletree in the passing game.

Unbelievable.

Im still not particularly happy with Garrett's play calling.

And can someone friggin cover Jackson? Why the hell is Brookings out there on him? Brookings couldnt cover a birdcage with a blanket.

and this is where the collapse happens

reid is going to pass pass pass pass pass...maybe 1 run every 10 plays, alot of 3 and outs

Where are those posters knocking me for saying Felix could do no worse than Choice running at the GL?

:lmao:

OH MY GOD THEY GAVE FELIX JONES A GOAL LINE CARRY

and he scores. It only took them 14 weeks of Marion Barber (and Choice) charging into the line of scrimmage for them to do it.

TD

commercial

KICKOFF

commerical

Anyone notice how when Reid gets down in a game, he seens to act as if he has McNabb and Westy as his QB and RB again when it comes to play calling.

I didn't start Felix but its hilarious that the Cowboys refuse to use him on the goal line when Barber and Choice have gotten stuffed repeatedly. Bizarre.
what do you want him to do when the nosetackle is in the backfield when the ball is handed off? Also, Choice got the 2nd a 1 for 2-3 yards and got down to the 1 from the 3 for tought yards.Grab a clue.
Unfortunatly Fitz is way to invested with his feelings for Felix to be objective...most folks on here pay no mind...Felix is ok but nothing special....I'd love to see more Choice...
If by Fitz you meant Switz, you may want to take a look at who was posting.Oh, and Felix just scored. :lmao:

Felix only scores at the goal line when I start Choice over him- since this decision will knock me out this year Felix will not score again......

What a RB this guy could be if they actually used him like a RB1.
McCoy or Jones? I'm thinking you mean McCoy, nice run for sure.
Yeah, McCoy. They do throw to him a lot, but I just think he could be so much more effective with more rushes.
Every Eagles fan has been saying that for that last 11 years, just change the name of the RB. It will never change as long as Air Reid is rolling on the sidelines.

This is the same team that said last season they knew exactly what the eagles were going to do cause they dont run the ball...and what is happening here...they are winning and sitting back waiting for the pass..

The most disconcerting instance of this for me was when I was watching a game in a box and they had the broadcast TV feed on a monitor which was not only like ten seconds behind the live action, but also a few seconds behind the radio play-by-play audio feed they were pumping in. Very odd until I trained myself to just turn to the tv when I wanted to see a "replay."
