**Dallas at Philadelphia**(-8.5, 48.5) 8:20 NFL Kickoff on NBC (17 Viewers)

Dak playing chess last night. Carter playing checkers.

Defending Dak's classlessness isn't a good look.

Nothing to defend.
Dak spit on the ground and gave a guy like Carter enough rope to do something so ridiculously stupid to get himself ejected.
Both players acted very classless. Jalen more so.
Dak played Carter like a fiddle, that's gamesmanship. Carter being a dope and responding like he did is just dumb, plain and simple.
He definitely did. I wonder if its something Dak will try to do all season long with other teams.

I kind of doubt he'd do it again. That's one of those things you save for someone special.
And that's .....ok? I whole heartedly disagree. It should have drawn a flag. Given the ensuing events, it should draw a fine

Also, with respect to the Jalen Hurts QB discussion that went on for a few pages at the beginning. Last night was a perfect encapsulation of why Jalen is such a good QB. He can make the throws he needs to, he can kill you with his legs, and he just has a poise about him. He's a winner.
I am sure some here dislike Nick Wright, but I agree with his take on Hurts, which is basically the bolded:

Is he a great passer? No.

Is he a great QB? Yes.

I think some people forget that while he might not be Lamar Jackson, running is a big part of Hurts' game (even if you do not count the tush pushes).
Agree with this but do think his passing is under-rated. Look at the throw to Dotson last night, a gorgeous dime. The throw to Smith in the Super Bowl. There are dozens of tight tough throws you can find if you look. He just doesnt throw in the rhythm we're used to seeing from top passers.

You didn't see the video? He didnt spit on the ground, He looked Carter in the face, spit in his direction, then gave a cheezy grin and nodded. He absolutely taunted Carter. Not excusing Carters response...ejection was proper/warranted, but it should have never gone that far. Lost a ton of respect for Prescott
He is notorious for his Anti Eagles posts disguised (poorly) as being objective.

Agreed. He can sling it and makes big throws when needed.

Like Dak, wanted to spit and the ONLY place he could spit was in the direction of Jalen Carter, to the ground, between 2 of his teammates.

Now, this is an odd topic, b/c if you ever chewed chaw or sunflower seeds or just ya know had one of those super dehydrated stick mouths where you just HAD TO spit it out

....I would NEVER consider spitting over/between/close to a friend/teammate where there was even a possibility a drop of saliva would touch my homie

Bc gross, right?

But yet, that is exactly what Dak did, he just could not spit anywhere else at all, I'm lead to believe....

How many Nick Sirianni threads were created last year only to ya know...Homer back into the bushes after he won the Super Bowl?

Oh a lot... I think like 3 lol

Not to mention the weekly throwing shade on the Eagles' opponent... every single week, never a single post about any other team's opponent that week.

Terrific opening night game thread, lot of Philly-Dallas fighting the first 5 pages but the entire Shark Pool got in on the action last night, I thought this place was a lot of fun during the game
To be able to post about a specific play in the middle of the game and actually get instant feedback on what you saw is still a terrific experience after 25 years around here

Thanks @Joe Bryant
I think the game day threads are the worst feature in the forums. Whine about the refs, point out the homers, argue, rinse repeat. To each their own.

Don't forget about the begging for fantasy points.

Thanks Zen, as the person who launches most of them, I'll make a note of these things

-What would you like to see discussed more in the game threads?
Did you not like this specific game thread between Dallas and Philly?
We had a 28 page thread on NFL Kickoff, that's not normal on Sundays, I liked the way it brought folks together and out of the woodwork

I started that at the end of the first Q when I listed AJB with zero targets but I thought it was a little odd and then things didn't change for the entire game
Plus I wasn't begging, across all the leagues I'm in, he's on one roster so it wasn't that big of a deal to me but I felt others were going to post about it so i brought t up
You also were not singling me out but I'm interested in how we can make the game threads better.

-Note to self -: no begging for bacon in the game threads

No one respects the poor eagles

Get over yourselves

He started 3 or 4 away from his team mates, so that excuse doesnt really hold water. SPit at your own feet

I'm not asking to change anything. This is what makes the world great. We all have different things we like. It's not my thing and even if I asked, it wouldn't change. You will still see me pop in occasionally in the Bucs game threads but they are usually pretty tame.
