**NFC Divisional Round - Washington at Detroit** (-9, 55) 8:15 on FOX (1 Viewer)

The game was over when Amik Robinson left the game. He was the last bandaid holding the defense together. We had no one left on the OL who could get to the QB, and without the ability to man cover the blitz were a disaster too. The secondary had too many players who should not be on the field.

Looking more and more like KC/PHI rematch.
I think KC gets rolled next weekend. They looked brutal today.
I keep thinking that every week.

And every week the chiefs wave hello and don’t apologize when I lose my bets.
KC always finds a way to win ugly. I won't be surprised if they three-peat. I hope someone beats them though.

Refs keep them in the game until they find a way.

Detroit’s game plan will always perplex me. D is obliterated. Yet they try to stay in a shoot out. You have the best running game in football. Slow the game down. Limit possessions.

Instead they play this game as if they are their normal team.

Dan Campbell needs to really self assess. It’s not always his way only. He needs to adjust based on circumstance. And he did not do enough to put his team in position to win.

I don't think the game plan was the problem. You can't have 4 turnovers and a huge mental mistake with 12 guys on the field that gives a free first down. The execution was the problem.
Turnovers and execution were problems. But the biggest reason is we didn't have enough quality players on defense. I felt ok at the start of the game but when Amik Robertson went down I knew it was over.

That does help lolz

Agree with this. Unless Reid pulls some 5D chess voodoo **** next week it ends there. Both the Bills and Ravens are better than the Chiefs.
Idk how a fan of the team can say this. You can never measure a KC game on paper in a traditional way. They always pull some unconventional finish out of their hat for a win.

Except they don’t have 4 turnovers if they lean on their running game.

Campbell is so stubborn that he will not adjust.

THIS IS WHO WE ARE.

That isn’t coaching. It’s ignorance.

Also, Washington was good all game.
Washington played great. But the defense did not have legitimate NFL players on the field. Give me one good pass rusher and one good corner and we can at least get a stop or two. We had no hope of generating a stop.

This. That's when I knew it was over.

If they only have one turnover this game looks so much different even with the defense and all the players they lost.

They could still have had a lot of turnovers even if they ran it a ton. Plus if they ran thr ball all day and lost everyone would say they lost because they didn't stay true to their identity. It was the execution. The Lions picked a bad time to have one of their worst games of the year.

If Washington was facing anybody besides Philly or DET, I'd be rooting for them. Would be pretty cool to see a star rookie QB in the SB. But I have a soft spot for those teams.

Welp. Sucky way to end the season, but I suppose if you don't win the Super Bowl, it kind of sucks for everyone.
We'll have to see whether AG and/or Ben Johnson end up with a different team before the NFC Championship.
Nothing to do but start prepping for next season. Get the entire defense equipped with the best robotic limbs money can buy so maybe they're relative healthy.
Probably the last game I watch this year, but I guess I'll be rooting for the Commanders. Definitely no love lost for the Eagles and Stafford's already got his ring.
