Game Thread W15 - Dallas V Washington (1 Viewer)

As a Packer fan, I thank Marco Rivera for everything he did for us, but for those bashing the Packers for letting him go, you couldn't be more wrong. The Packers would have made a huge mistake resigning him, seeing how bad are team is. He is 33 with bad knees, and the Packers gave him a $9,000,000 bonus. That is truly a horrible signing, as he is not even close to the player he was. He is getting manhandled.
I thought you should've kept Wahle.

:lmao:

Now that's the Cowgirls out there if I have ever seen them.

:lmao:
Your team just got their arses handed to them, you can't come here talking crap now.
Sure I can.. I've known all season that The Vikes weren't going any where.Cowboy fans on the other hand....

:P
Then you aren't a fan, your a bandwagoner.
Or a realist.
:goodposting: :goodposting: I Bleed Purple, but our Offensive Line SUCKS, as well as no true option at RB

Till they remedy that situation it was written on the wall they wouldn't go any where this season.

Believe me, if you saw my basement I am FAR from being a Band wagon fan.

My wife wishes I was so I didn't have so many Viking things in my house.

Seeing as we live in Wisconsin I take enough crap to know where my true Football Blood flows. :football:
So basically, you're saying that your team doesn't have enough talent, yet they were still winning? So they're a group of underdogs playing better than their talent level? Isn't that what every fan loves? Doesn't that usually cause fans to support their team full heartedly?
:lmao: The Vikes Defense is Very good IMO. It has carried this team the last 6 games while The Offense did just enough not to lose games.

That came back to bite them in the butt BIG time today.

Just being a Realistic about this team.

Sorry, I bleed Purple, but live in a world where the sky is blue not Purple.

I cheer 100% for The Vikings to win. My BLood Pressure was off the charts in the 1st half with all the bad calls.

You do know you can cheer for a team and still live in reality correct?

It was a tough decision. Wahle is one of the best pulling guards in the league, and I enjoyed watching him progress into a great all around blocker. But again, it was obvious the Pack was being held together by smoke and mirrors and it would not be wise to spend a ton of $$$ on a guard, although Wahle is obviously in his prime and is only 28. But $11,000,000 signing bonus for an interior offensive lineman? Looking at our situation it was just not worth it. Smart move by Ted Thompson, he needs to clear up cap space.

Yeah, I'm just messin' with ya. Its rare to hear a fan not think(hope) for the best regarding his team. I'm sure you're a good fan.

Remember when everyone was saying Bledsoe would lead the Cowboys to the playoffs?
He has them 8-5. You think they would be better with Testeverde?
Maybe if Parcells would try getting a QB younger than Don Meredith this time, they'd do better.
Bledsoe isn't that old. The offensive line is awful. Doesn't matter who the QB is. Bledsoe hasn't been the problem. The offensive line can't block, they get 10 penalties a game and they can't open holes for the RB.
Amazing how you sound like a Bills fan from about 2003.
Look at the Bills this year, are they any better? Look at Dallas, are they better? The Bills still suck. Bledsoe wasn't the problem. Dallas is much better than last year....I have to say Bledsoe isn't the problem.

WTF is Bledsoe still doing in there.Might as well throw Henson in there and let the wolves, er Redskins finish their meal.

This game is playing out exactly like a Super Tecmo Bowl game where the Redskins are the computer and they pick your play every time, and you get sacked 48 times, fumble a few times and suffer some key injuries.

:goodposting: Bledsoe is a pretty good QB who has definite strengths but definite weaknesses as well. Because of that, he needs to be in the right system. Hes not as good as he looks on some days, and not as bad as he looks on others like today.

Even worse for me is I have Dallas' defense and I am coming down to the wire in my semi finals FF game. I also have JJ starting. I was up by 30 points before this game started, I am up by 6 now. He has S. Moss and Lamont Jordan!

Killing me to lose to the Redskins causing me to lose my FF game and at least $100!
Thats why, kids, It doesn't pay to be a homer (in texas).

Seriously, what would it take to get you to admit that the Skins are a good team?

They went into Denver, and lost on the last play of the game.
That is an unusual way of looking at. A better way would be to say they failed to convert a two-point conversion that would have tied the game. Watching this game is awfully entertaining. I always enjoy watching Dallas lose and seeing them lose like this is entertaining as hell.

randy thomas hurt.. looked pretty bad betts fell on his knee and bent it backthat really hurts their O-LINEand dallas recovered the fumble.too little too late im afraid for the 'boys

Betts ran up on and fell on his leg from behind. Betts is pretty harsh on his line -- running up the back of them many times... I need them healthy for Clinton again next week! Wait for your friggin' blocks Betts!

Sack update: Redskins 7, Cowboys 0Rushing yardage update: Redskins 152, Cowboys 95Turnover update: Redskins 1, Cowboys 3

alright going to drown my sorrows..great showing by the skins, kicking our ### up and down the field.. the cowboys looked horrible running, passing, catching, kicking EVERYTHING! :wall:

It's no wonder Lavar Arrington eventually replaced Warrick Holdman in the starting lineup earlier in the season. Arrington's hurt today, Holdman is playing in his place, and Holdman has a uniform that is waaaaaaaaaaay too clean for any self-respecting linebacker.

3-2-WAS 43 (2:00) M.Barber right end to WAS 40 for 3 yards (O.Stoutmire).DAL-M.Rivera was injured during the play.

Per Sam Huff, Redskins are 6-3 when Holdman starts, and give up 280 yards/game.Redskins are 2-3 when Arrington starts, and give up 325 yeards/game.

Edited to add: being carted off, no movement at all. I hope he's OK.

randy thomas hurt.. looked pretty bad betts fell on slammed his shoulder going full speed into the back of his knee and bent it back

that really hurts their O-LINE
Fixed. I'm very concerned about that because I agree that Thomas has been playing the best among the entire line. Not good. If he's seriously injured that's a major blemish on the game this week.

Despite Rivera being injured already on the drive, Dallas is still trying to score one last TD.edit: Intercepted by Dimitri Patterson of the Redskins, who was signed yesterday I believe. A fitting end.

Mommas dont let your babies grow up to be cowboys being played over the loudspeakers.
That was painful to watch. From a homer perspective and a football fan perspective. Just an awful game played by the Cowboys.Props to the Redskins for showing up to whoop some ####. That was really painful to say.

Code:
I hope the Giants man handle you the way they did last time though.......

The disparity between the 2 teams is not nearly as great as the game results. The Cowboys just had a day where everything went wrong and ran into an inspired team playing well, just like when the Redskins ran into the Giants earlier this year and got whipped. It was pretty obvious by the second quarter that there was no way Dallas would win today. Some days are just like that.

Still sucks to lose like that to your rival. I dont know which loss is worse this year, that one or the come from behind loss in Dallas on "Triplet" night.......I lost my fantasy game by 4 ####ing points too. Dallas defense got me one point. One.

I'm watching Gibbs' press conference right now. He said it looks like Thomas broke his ankle. This was a GREAT win but losing Thomas is a MAJOR loss. Who do they have to plug that hole? Is Ray Brown or someone going to play? As a Redskins homer, that was one great game. Honestly, I can't remember a better game since Gibbs left 13 years ago!

The Giants game next week is huge. I don't see Skins winning the division but Wildcard is looking more realistic now...

Yeah that was a huge loss for the Cowboys but I still don't think he Redskins can beat the Giants. The Giants do suck on the road. I think it is in the best interests of the Cowboys for the Redskins to lose anyway....another good reason for me to cheer against them.

The way I see it, even if the skins beat the giants the division still belongs to the gmen.they will not lose the following week against the faiders.

That's the key...yesterday was really when the Giants had to lose (vs. KC) for the Redskins to have a realistic shot at the division, because they then could controlled their own destiny by winning out. I do think the Skins have a chance against the Giants at home. Remember most of those games the Redskins lost they got slaughtered in the Giveaway/Takeaway category and also committed countless bonehead penalties. Today was an example of how well the team*could* be if they just played mistake free football. Even so, winning nout will be tough...the Giants are obviously a good team, and I don't think you can count the Eagles out at home...they still are going to play that game very tough. As for the division, it's unfortunately too little too late. Like you I don't see the Giants losing to the Raiders, so basically they've got the division wrapped up. THe best the skins can hope for is to win out and then sneak in as a wildcard by virtue of tiebreaker (I think they are ahead of everyone in the tiebreakers except Tampa Bay.)
