Game Thread W16 - Tennessee V Buffalo (1 Viewer)

I think the announcers are underestimating the Buffalo wind. That would have been a 45-yard attempt....probably asking too much.
Maybe, but why go for it all? Why not go for 8 yards with well over a minute left in the game? Even handing the ball to McGahee was a higher percentage call.
The play wasn't originally a hail mary. Losman was rushed and had to scramble. He ended up going about 20 yards backward before heaving it up.

Holy crap!

AND...crazy as I thought it was, virtually all scenarios played out so far that keep the Titans' WC berth alive.

Steelers loss. Check.

Jacksonville loss. Check.

KC win. Check.

Also, NE wins division = nothing to play for next week.

Colts lose. Well, that doesn't mean anything, we just really enjoy that.

Anybody know the scenario for the Titans making the playoffs?Do I root for the Bengals or Broncos tonight?
Good question. Both 8-6. Who knows the answer to this?
Here's what I figured out...If the Broncos win and then lose to the Niners next weekend, then the Titans need the Chiefs to beat the Jags next weekend in order to get past the Broncos, as the Chiefs would bump the Broncos out of the playoff picture. If the Broncos win twice they are in.If the Bengals win either of their remaining games, they are in over the Titans.I'd say root for the Broncos, because the Titans can still get in over Denver even if Denver wins today. If the Bengals win today, they are in over the Titans and it would still come down to the Broncos losing to the Niners OR the Chiefs beating the JAGS for the Titans to get in over the Broncos. If the Broncos beat the Bengals, then lose to the Niners OR Chiefs beat the Ravens, Bengals lose to the Steelers, the Titans are in over both the Broncos and the Bengals and would only have the Jets left to worry about.I'll be rooting for the Broncos tonight and then the Dolphins against the Jets tomorrow night.Clear? :excited:

Ok, I have the answer...sort of.From the Tennessean yesterday:
It would be good for Tennessee for the Bengals to lose their last two games. If Denver wins, the Titans need Cincinnati to lose its last game (vs. Pitt). If Cincy wins, the Titans need KC to win its last two games (they did win the first of the last two) or Denver to lose its last game (vs. SF).
Well, that kind of sounds like a Bill Clinton answer. It sounds as if best case scenario is for Cincy to lose its last two. However: Titans need KC to finish ahead of or tied with Denver. KC wins tiebreaker with Denver, but Titans win tiebreaker with KC. So, even if Denver wins -- Titans are still alive.

NFL has notified the Titans that next Sunday's game vs. the Patsies could indeed be moved. No final announcement expected until Monday.
With Pats clinching, I am skeptical it'll be moved... unless CBS rightly figures the country wants to see if Vince can push his team into the playoffs. No team has ever gone 0-5 and made the playoffs, and while the Titans are still underdogs to do so, it's remarkable it's even possible.
