Game Thread W17 - Dallas V Philadelphia (2 Viewers)

Not to put the cart before the horse, but the Eagles are going to CRUSH Minnesota next week, what a lucky seeding break for us. Wow.
They should, but I don't see them getting by Carolina or New York.
Why not? They play great defense every single week and they already won in NY. I think they can beat either and I especially think they can beat the team they'll face in the divisional round.
I think they've expended a lot of emotional energy on this game, and I don't think they'll have enough to beat all 3 of those teams. It's one of those intangibles. They look great today sure, but come on, the Cowboys have been in disarray for weeks now so this isn't a total shock the way this game is turning out. My opinion of course, but I just don't see anyone stopping that incredible running game the Giants have.

I just switched to the Miami game.. Even as an Eagles fan, enough is enough
Sorry but this should be must-see tv for Eagles fans. An historic beat down of the Dallas Cowboys - to knock them out of the playoffs?! Sorry, gotta love every minute of it.

The Eagles may beat the Vikes next week but no way do they "CRUSH' them. 3 pt game either way for the the final score.

Fly Eagles Fly, On The Road To Victory.

Fight Eagles Fight, Score A Touchdown 1-2-3.

But I got to see Favre throw a pick on his last pass of this season, posibly his career! :)
Besides...my throat has gone hoarse (been screaming at the TV all the way through two games now) and my head hurts from all the excitement. But no worries...I'll be good by next week! :jawdrop:

Technically, it's "a" historic beatdown. H is a consonant. Not that it really matters.
Unless it is silent. It's aN honor to correct you.

Sure. Which it isn't in "historic." From dictionary.com.

"Istoric" is something that people that don't know anything about the English language say because they think it sounds smart. Unless they're British. Then they're right./smoo

But we should just focus on what's important. "Historic beat down...Dallas out of the playoffs".

I totally agree with the above. Great game by Philly. Disastrous performance by Dallas. Congrats to Eagles fans.

Any guess what time slot we have next week? I thought I heard annoucers say on CBS that Ari/Atl was a Saturday game. That means Birds definately on Sunday.

As much as I hate the Cowboys, at the Eagles fans ready to crown McNabb as Mayor of Philly after nearly running him out of town.

Bentley is, as usual, the gracious Cowboys fan. :goodposting: at all the Eagles fans kicking the poor guy while he's down....he'll be sitting back laughing in a few weeks when the Eagles get bounced out of the playoffs though. But he won't gloat about it...

I wouldn't count on that. Any team that merely tied the Bengals this year shouldn't be looking down their noses at a team with a better record, let alone a team they've got to play on the road. The Vikings crowd will be very loud, and it hasn't been too difficult for the Vikings D to put opposing QB's off their game this year.

Certainly not going to kick Bentley when he's down, but I'll kick the 'Boys when the Eagles knocked them out of the playoffs. The stinkin' Cowboys. Great feeling when the Eagles kick their butt to send them home! Eagles may not win the Super Bowl, but they ended the Cowboys season and the Birds play next week.Bentley, good luck to you and the 'Boys in '09...until then: E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!!

:wall: ..........The Eagles have been the better team going into many games this year that they ultimately lost/tied. They're a very good team but you just don't know which Andy Reid is going to show up. At this point, McNabb doesn't concern me (if I'm an Iggles fan) because I think he's proven that he's a player.

Pathetic, horrible game today. This is the lowest of the low. Worse than 1-15. Lots of major changes need to be made during the offseason.

Great win, Eagles. I think you'll go far in the playoffs.
