nice to have Ms Kramer here. Thanks for the info guys...I do disagree with the idea that this is "over" and we should just move on...If more illegal stuff was done, the league should investigate and the Pats should be penalized further if found guilty...And for those saying this is "sour grapes" on the part of Mangini, do you think Belichick would hesitate to purue this to the ends of the earth if the situation was reversed?

You really think he keeps his job going 0-16?You really think this is because Mangini wants national attention? How else are they going to stay in the spot light? If you think it's bad now, wait a couple more weeks when they are out of playoff contention. The tapping into radio frequencies rumor is resurfacing. The report is that the Jets are pursuing these charges with the League office. The Pats got WHACKED. Pretty hard. The Jets need to accept their ### kicking and move on.![]()
It's official, if it wasn't already. This is a RBBC. Morris had what, 3 series all to himself? Plus goal line. Oh, and faulk in on almost every 3rd down. Glad Maroney's my keeper. (ibt ptts)Great Maroney takes them down the field so Sammy Morris can get a TD, argh.
lolWhat do you think the odds are that Maroney will score his first TD of the season on this drive?
Please tell me there's sarcasm, or shtick, or something else here that I'm missing.68 rushing yards in two games. I'd have to agree. It will be a long year for LT owners.Tomlinson = bust
The issue of taping was dealt with.Radio frequencies = new crime.Because it seems petty at this stage for the Jets to pursue this further. The Pats got whacked a first round pick. Well said. The SD DB's will get all the blame but NE front seven just owned SD for too many stretches in this game. Brady is playing at such a high level right now it's hard not to enjoy watching him even when he's tearing apart your favorite team. He's brilliant at the moment. NE was so close to winning the SB last year I don't see anybody touching them unless Brady gets hurt at some point. Good luck next week BUF. Can't wait to see what that point spread is.Pats offensive line is Legit.
To each his own. I am entertained by it all and Bill flat lying to Roger last week and getting busted for other technical philandering would be very entertaining... and cool... to me. I would get a good laugh out of these new suspiciouns being validated. Unlike both the haters and lovers, I am not at all emotionally involved in any outcome, so it's a kick to watch unfold. The truth would be good, but having it turn out bad isn't necessarily "cool".I love it. I hope the press is as relentless with this as they were with TO. I hope the investigations are thorough and I hope more dirt turns up on the Pats. It's entertaining. More cheating and bigger penalties would be cool.interesting that Mangini and the Jets are bringing all these issues to the table. presumably Mangini knew about them when he was with the Pats... guess this is his revenge for being spurned by Belichick.
Not if he's on the benchand chris brown is starting instead...oh wait...Ouch that has to sting Maroney owners.
I think you were missing a weak attempt at a joke. Not as weak as droning on and on about "Patriot-gate" but up there.Game overPlease tell me there's sarcasm, or shtick, or something else here that I'm missing.
I do not think it is strange if the guy is a bust. Right now Maroney is not even close to achieving his ADP (1st round). Why not bench the guy and play your better options? Myself I have Lamont Jordan and Cadillac Williams. Either one of them has more points than Maroney this week.See a ton of ppl benched Maroney this week... odd for an oft first-round pick. What do you think the odds are that Maroney will score his first TD of the season on this drive?

So it seems petty to continue to pursue possible cheating and clear violations of league rules? What does it seem to commit those infractions?Because it seems petty at this stage for the Jets to pursue this further. not really. if the Pats were only videotaping then the entire issue would have been exposed.if they also mic'd d linemen to steal audibles and play calls then that needs to be dealt with as well. This is what I don't get...Mangini would be doing his team and organization a giant dsservice if he didn't report this stuff to the league, IMO...Again, I ask, do you think belichick would just "let it go?"It's OK to let your opponent cheat against you?Finless said:It's getting embarrassing now. Because they are embarrassed at how little they've used him and need to show they are committed. Why is LT still in? Seems like a huge risk-
TU, I think the blowback he is getting (and it is not just in NE. I live in Philly and Philly talk was crucifying him) is because he was part of the "cheating machine" and now he is the one blowing the whistle.Philly radio even reported that his title in NE before becoming DC was Secondary Coach and Coach in charge of Advanced Scouting and Videotaping. Many have speculated that the reason he was able to blow the whistle is because he was a big part of it while in NE. Just a bit disengenuous. You are flat wrong here, IMO...First off, even if the Jets go 0-16 this year, mangini is in ZERo danger of losing his job...I am amazed that he is getting blowback for basically reporting how another team is cheating...Finless said:It's getting embarrassing now. I think this might have been the best game of the series for the Sox/Yankees and I doubt all that many people have been watching, compared to usual.fflnut said:Ah, feel the Boston love. Please focus some of this on the Sox, they're 2 outs away from being beaten by the Yankees.
That's one of the greatest advantages LT owners have. He's ALWAYS out there in garbage time. They got Brees killed that way a couple years ago.redman said:Oh stop with the LT garbage yards!

The thing I don't understand is why Mangini didn't report this last year. If Bellicheck was brazen enough to pull this stuff in the season opener on the road, it's not hard to imagine he was trying to do it last season too.Tremendous Upside said:This is what I don't get...Mangini would be doing his team and organization a giant dsservice if he didn't report this stuff to the league, IMO...OC Zed said:It's OK to let your opponent cheat against you?Finless said:It's getting embarrassing now. I showed up to post the same thing. Let's see, 4th and 4 with 3 minutes left and you're down by 24 points. Yeah, lets punt since our D has been shutting down the Pats all day long.
These are the asinine kind of coaches calls that hack me off. Trust me, a 24 point loss is no better than a 31 point loss. The RF deal was a part of the original complaint but got glossed over in the wake of the videotaping. And when Goodell announced the punishments he said he was still investigating the issue with the Pats. Bellicheat and Pats fans are the only ones saying it's over, Goodell has been investigating this even after he announced the punishment. And since he is now demanding more evidence from them, threatening severe punishment if they don't comply, I would say this is far from over.shakeybarn said:The issue of taping was dealt with.Radio frequencies = new crime.Pat Patriot said:Because it seems petty at this stage for the Jets to pursue this further. The charge wasn't that they "cheated", the charge was on recording... this is unrelated.
Maybe they couldn't get the evidence, for whatever reason...The thing I don't understand is why Mangini didn't report this last year. The pats were WARNED to stop... where do you think that warning came from? Obviously coaches told the league that they "suspected" the pats were stealing signals and just wanted them to stop. I don't think they were looking for a punishment. If they knew the pats were stealing signals they could just change the signals, and I really dont think it provides that much of a competetive advantage.... the pats were warned, they were doing it in plain view on the damn sideline. I think they got off easy...OC Zed said:It's OK to let your opponent cheat against you?Finless said:It's getting embarrassing now. It seems petty coming from Mangini. You get no argument from me that Belichick has embarassed himself and his team. The level of stuff that Belichick appears to have been doing is for someone who is coaching a crappy team and afraid of losing his job. Maybe that guy needs the perceived "edge". As talented as the Patriots are, they shouldnt. Especially not this year.Tremendous Upside said:So it seems petty to continue to pursue possible cheating and clear violations of league rules? What does it seem to commit those infractions?Pat Patriot said:Because it seems petty at this stage for the Jets to pursue this further. So shouldn't you be trying to score one yourself rather than putting your D out to face a team that has already posted 38 points? It is if a tie breaker comes down to net touchdowns.
Check out Paul Zimmerman's article on cnnsi.com this week... it's unclear as to what extent Mangini had a say in any of these practices (if the article is 100% accurate). It seems petty coming from Mangini. You get no argument from me that Belichick has embarassed himself and his team.
