Mac Jones throwing to Bourne, Robinson, and Tonges. Almost literally a replacement level offense.
How's the Oline right now? Any starters missing?
Not yet anyway

Just read McKivitz is the 9th ranked pass blocking tackle according to PFF. The top 8 are all left tackles. That was always his weakness previous. Something anyway
LG (Bartch) out too. Puni banged up.

Barch has been out which is the norm for him. Colby is better anyway IMO

My text chain has a lot of BURROW TOE goin' on, like Purdy might have to have surgery after this game lol.

Mac Jones has been resurrected.

Mac Jones 3-0 6TDs 1 INT to Purdy going Garoppolo with 4 TDs to 4 INTs and a 1-1 record, and Jones is playing better hurt than Purdy.

I wonder how Dave Lombardi is gonna spin this one.
The guy has turf toe. Some of you people are ridiculous.
How they do this is beyond me. Almost wanted a loss. At 4-1 now I have no choice but to be a little enthused.

Possibly the worst OL in football.
Its almost like Shanny is a pretty damn good coach.

Such a good post. I’m retiring from arguing from people who want him fired.

My son took me to the game last night and we had great seats overlooking the 20 yard line. The goal line fumble and the game winning stop happened right in front of us. First game I have been to since we moved to SoCal and sold our season tickets at Candlestick in 2007. What a great game all around -- 49er fans packing SoFi, the game being tight the whole way, having my son take me to the game, and the final result. We saw some great games at Candlestick, but this game was special as a 49er fan. A complete 180 from the lows of the Jacksonville game. Now we get 10 days until the next nail biter. Bang Bang!

Yeah, amazing difference turnovers make. 4 against the Jags and none last night. Both one score games.

Have to give them credit. Most teams this decimated by injuries would be bottom dwellers.

Still have to wonder what is wrong in the organization in regards to all these injuries year in, year out. Practicing too hard? Crappy training/conditioning staff? It's beyond the point of it being a fluke at this point.

I forgot Mac signed a 2 year deal, and it was a bargain.

49ers injury news: Will Mac Jones play vs. Bucs?

Could quarterback Adrian Martinez make his first NFL start with the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? With Brock Purdy officially ruled out due to a toe injury, the 49ers are expected to turn to Mac Jones. However, Jones is also banged up, dealing with knee and oblique issues, and is listed as questionable on the final injury report.

If Jones is unable to go, that leaves Martinez as San Francisco's only fully healthy quarterback.

However, head coach Kyle Shanahan hinted he already knows whether Jones will be available on Sunday. When asked when he might make a decision on the quarterback's status, he said, "I pretty much already have, but you've got to put it that way if there's any doubt at all. So, pretty much already have."

His comments suggest the expectation is that Jones will suit up on Sunday.

How ready is Adrian Martinez?

With Purdy sidelined and Jones limited, Martinez saw increased first-team reps in practice this week. Shanahan noted the added work has been valuable in preparing the young quarterback.

"This week's been nice for him because he's got a lot more reps with the ones this week, just filling in for Mac and stuff," Shanahan explained. "So, we've been able to see him on tape more instead of just running cards and things like that. So, got a better feeling this week than I have in the past few weeks."

If Jones can't go, the 49ers will likely simplify the game plan for Martinez.

"You always try to keep it as simple as you can for guys in that situation," Shanahan continued, "give him certain things, he tells you things he's the most comfortable with, and then you try to isolate on that stuff. But um when you get into a game, it's about the situation.

"So, you try to make it as easy as possible, but you do what you have to do based off of how the game's going."

Per Next Gen Stats, Baker Mayfield threw passes to 14 receivers today who were wide open. He completed 12 of those for 215 yards and 2 TDs.

That, and a miscommunication early in the game that gifted the Bucs a TD, ends up being the difference in this one.

The margins are already slim enough for the 49ers. Can't make the kinds of mistakes they did today and expect to win/compete.
