Fully expect Seattle to commit to stopping Pittsburgh running game and see some success there, but no chance to get to Roethlisberger as Seattle pass rush is anemic outside of Clemons. Roethlisberger should have a big day.

Big pass interference penalty gives the Steelers first and goal on the 1. Mendenhall gets stuffed on 1st down, Big Ben gets sacked on 2nd down, Big Ben runs it to the half yard line on 3rd down. 4th and goal.

Mendenhall stuffed, damn. Seattle ball.

ETA- Tomlin challenging but it's a dumb challenge. He's clearly down, IMO.

Or maybe, not.

Haven't heard anything, but it's part of PIT's gameplan to give series to the backup RB's once per half or more.

I thought I saw something pop on nfl.com scores page to the effect "Mendenhall bruises..." and then he was out. Not trying to start a panic but it seemed to be reporting an injury but I can't find anything else anywhere yet

Rough drop there by Obomanu.

Is it me, is the Steeler pass rush nothing like what we've seen in the past? Jackson has had lots of time to survey in the pocket.

Saw a note on the NFL.com game tracker but it was cut off said "Mendenhall bruises his..."
Since when do football players leave games due to bruises?
A nice helmet-sized bruise on your quad, and you can't run. A bruised shinbone, and you can barely walk for a while. Bruises are just signs of trauma, and depending on the nature of the trauma, you can either play football professionally well...or you can't.But still, don't think it's relevant here.

The TV commentator keeps talking about how out of sync the Steelers look on offense. Yet this is the Steeler's 4th drive: they got to the 1 on the 1st drive, scored a touchdown on both the 2nd and 3rd drive, and now they are deep in Seattle territory again. Imagine what this offense will be like when they get "in sync."

Big Ben hurt on a late hit which rolled into his leg. NOT GOOD!

He's up and walking. But that hit looked just like the one that took Carson Palmer out of the playoffs in 2005.

They got to the 1 on a PI call and couldn't punch it in on 4 tries. And they're playing the Seahawks with a tired defense...

He's fine. He loves the drama. Batch gets a roaring ovation. Mendy needs to put his head down and go full speed into the line when there's nothing there. No spin moves. No dance moves.

Lets not do this. What other QB in the league could have taken the physical abuse Ben has taken over the years? Yeah, we know, he puts himself into some of those situations. blah blah blah. Point is, he does it and still is going strong.

Nobody's defense is tired in the early part of the first quarter.

They are when the offense had the ball for 3 quick runs total in the first 11 minutes of the 1st quarter.

I'm a Steeler fan, think Ben is a beast, and love everything he does for the team. That being said. I think he's a drama queen. Let's get back to the game...

After being on the field for nearly 10 consecutive minutes it has an impact.

A drama queen? Based on the massive hits he's taken over the years, and they then show him each time limping or something else someone/anyone would do when they get hurt? Or based on having to even BE a drama queen, he would keep up with it. But he went almost a year without speaking to the media. Any media.I agree, back to the game.
