Game Thread W2 - St.Louis V San Francisco (1 Viewer)

Had a feeling this one would be a let down for St. Louis. The teams S JAX is supposed to own he lays a big turd.
100 combined with a quater left really sucks. I can feel your pain
Against SF 100 combined really isn't that good when he is supposed to be a #1. I fault a lot of his production to the system.
talk about expectations being a bit out of whack...
What were your expectations for him this year? As it stands he gets 1 look in the redzone if he is lucky. If he can't put a TD on the board against San Fran then he has troubles. Oh and when Gore out plays him I don't think my concern for his lack of productivity should be questioned.
My god - TDs will come and they are extremely difficult to predict. The rams as a team have ONE touchdown - you're upset jackson doesn't have it?he's over 100 yards for the 2nd game in a row. With over 23 touches in both and a 1/2 a quarter to play.that's about my [realistic] expectations for a #1 RB.

Down by a td with 4 minutes left. You have a RB with over 100 yds and a QB with fumbles and ints, what do you do?? Throw, Throw, Throw, punt!!! They suck! :wall:

just stop. you can't just run with 5 mins left the clock keeps running.
Sorry. I guess with a new coach I expected a new dedication to the run like other clubs that run, run, run (KC, Seattle) in the redzone. I guess I just have to get used to the fact that even with a new coach the Rams are a pass 1st team, even though this strategy has gotten them no where the past couple of years.

Bulger is notoriously bad in the Red Zone anyway.

Nice win for the Niners

Rode a strong performance by the defense and by Gore/ASmith/Bryant to a win.

This is a legitimate football team now. Lost in a close one last week, and a win this week, both against powerhouse offenses.

The play calling (pass, pass, pass, punt) was HORRIBLE with 4 minutes left. SJAX averaged close to 5ypc and he doesn't even get a chance.

This coming week will be a huge test. Philly can pass, run and their defense pretty damn good. I'm not expecting the niners to win, just hopefully they play smart and keep it close.

I thought he was out of the league after that stint with the Panthers. ;)
