Game Thread W3 - Atlanta V Kansas City (1 Viewer)

Charles with a screen pass gets a first down. Amazing. And now Thigpen throws a pick as I am typing this.
2 for 13 for 12 yards and 2 interceptions!!! Is a negative QB rating possible?!?This would be hilarious if I wasn't starting LJ, Bowe, and Gonzo across multiple leagues! OK, it's still hilarious!

Thigpen 0/7.....ARE YOU KIDDING ME ?
Well if Charles could just hang onto the passes that keep hitting him in the hands, it wouldn't be an 0-7 line.
LJ can catch the ball and he's a much better rb than Charles...what is Herm doing????
edwards is a terrible coach. ruined the jets and now the chiefs. he plays the game to lose. he's an idiot.
He really is a terrible coach, a joke. I honestly don't understand why he's still a coach in the league.

I hope the league is realizing how overrated Herm Edwards is as a coach. His spirit and bravado might work on the collegiate level, but something is not working here in the NFL.

I have the feeling that next year he just may prove that to be true when he takes a job at the Collegiate level....

Turner bulldozes into the endzone again set up by a nice catch by White who took a serious hit but held onto the ball for the 1st down.

Turner already has 76 and 2 TDs...up24-0, I have to think Norwood is going to see a lot of action int he 2nd half, and likely is going to rip off a big one at some point.

I sure hope so. I'm playing against Turner and he could really end the day with 5 TDs if they kept him in the entire game.

Seriously, is this really good for his development? Even if they wanted to see what they had with the kid, he doesn't have it today but at least give the rest of the team a chance. How are you going to get a team to buy into anything if you don't even give them a chance. KC may approach miami of last year.

In 25 years of watching football, I have never seen a team this bad. Not even the 80's Bucs were this pathetic. What is Peterson's plan? They have turned this team into a bad Div III team.

acording to fbg qb rating calculator it is a -46.6 ratingbut since he has raised it to a great 16.6.whoo hoo

So here's the question for the rest of the year: who is the real Michael Turner? Is it the guy from week one and today, or the guy from last week? Is it as simple as being home against two terrible defenses, or is this guy the every week RB1 that I'm hoping for? Opinions?

I started Gonzo on the assumption that KC would be far behind and there would be garbage time points. Well, there's going to be a second half full of garbage time, but I don't know of Thigpen is good enough to take advanage of it. ugh.

he'll pound the bad teams, struggle against the good teams. if you don't want to deal with that reality, sell high after a game like today.

His "demise" is way premature. They just need to keep feeding him.
:) I have yet to doubt his talent, just Herm's refusal to feed him the ball. Good things happen when you give the ball to LJ. He's more likely to help the team than whoever the qb of the week may be.

The problem is that they are showing right now why LJ will not be a monster this year. They can't stop the other team. LJ can't get any yards standing on the sideline....ETA, I don't doubt that LJ is still a phenomenal talent. He just can't do anything while the opposing team marches down the field. And eventually they will have to go to the air to try to get back into the game....

Turner still in & STILL bowling over Chiefs defenders. I'm telling you, with Turner dishing out the punishment like he is, there's gonna be some sore Cheif defenders tomorrow.

Minnesota, Chicago, and maybe Philly are the only really strong defenses left on the Falcons schedule... dont sell.
