Also, the QB can lose control of the football and still have his fingers influence the flight of the ball as it leaves his hands. You need possession of the football and movement of the arm forward at the same time for it to be incomplete. That's the problem here - I don't think he had either happening.

Yet, miraculously, Huff picked up the ball about ten yards downfield. So now the "logical" responses are telekinesis and superhuman finger strength. The Legend of Rivers is reaching Bill Brasky proportions here.

They were on the 23 the play before that, when they got a holding penalty, on a running play.
