The hand was not going forward, it was going up. That's where the ball went, it didn't go forward.

Also, the QB can lose control of the football and still have his fingers influence the flight of the ball as it leaves his hands. You need possession of the football and movement of the arm forward at the same time for it to be incomplete. That's the problem here - I don't think he had either happening.
Yet, miraculously, Huff picked up the ball about ten yards downfield. So now the "logical" responses are telekinesis and superhuman finger strength. The Legend of Rivers is reaching Bill Brasky proportions here.
And it's like the entire second paragraph I wrote wasn't even there! Amazing!
No, it's like your entire post was completely wrong. Not so amazing.

I hate the Raiders much more than the Chargers, but you Chargers fans are being totally biased. The ball was knocked loose before Rivers' hand came forward. Good call.

I prefer the Chargers to the Raiders, but I don't give a rat's ### about that call. The Chargers deserve to lose, based on simple stupidity.

Run Mathews. Kick the field goal. Game over.

No, I mentioned the fact that you think Rivers has Bunyanesque fingers that can fling the ball several yards forwards while his arm is being struck backwards.

Look, you're upset. I understand and I don't blame you. Being wrong could happen to anyone, it's just that you're the man of the moment. We all still love you.

The Chargers have fumbled 11 times this season and lost 9 of them.

The Raiders have fumbled 14 times and lost 2 of them.

Yeah, because 50 yard FGs are a gimme.
They were at the 23. Run Mathews.

Kick the field goal.

Win game.

Anything else is simple stupidity.
They were on the 33.2-20-OAK33 (1:10) (Shotgun) P.Rivers sacked at OAK 36 for -3 yards (M.Huff). FUMBLES (M.Huff), RECOVERED by OAK-T.Branch at OAK 36. T.Branch for 64 yards, TOUCHDOWN. The Replay Assistant challenged the fumble ruling, and the play was Upheld.

They were on the 23 the play before that, when they got a holding penalty, on a running play.
