Game Thread W7 - Minnesota V Chicago (2 Viewers)

4th interception. Bears get a key win and the Vikings did plenty to help Chicago do just that.

Enjoy your win Bears fans. You all just may reach the playoffs.

is it more bizarre that the Vikings put up 41 points on the Bear D, or that the Bear D scored a bunch and yet gave up 41 pts....

Brilliant keeping the ball out of your best playmaker's hands when you need to score points. I just don't understand the rationale.

Does everyone agree that R.Davis fumble recovery for TD counts as a defensive score??
Fill me in? Maybe I'm just blind.
The ball is caught by a Chicago WR right as he is going into the endzoe, he is hit, fumbles and Davis WR for Chicago recovers for the TD. Our league has awarded the TD to the defense. I have Davis as my WR and am playing against said Chicago defense. I don't want to throw a fit if I am wrong. I can see if Minnesota recovers and is attempting to return the ball the other way and they fumble again, then I can see the logic, but Minnesota never touched the ball. It was fumbled into the endzone by Chicago and recoverd by Chicago.I just want to know what the rule says....

Oh, I misunderstood you. Thought you were defending the ruling of it being a Defensive touchdown. I too, am facing Chicago D this week. And am pretty irked by this.

The sad thing is the Bears SHOULD BE 7-0.

They gave away the games to Carolina, Tampa and Atlanta.

Oh well, 4-3 and in first place ain't a bad place to be.

Orton actually looks like an NFL QB, not a scared little beaaoatch like Rx Gross-Man.

ATL deserved the win, but yeah, Chicago is better than their 4-3 record indicates. However, it appears as though half the team is on the injury report once again. No key injuries on the DL or OL, but are they down to their #5 and 6 CB's now?

Bears should be 4-3. This defense has shown no ability to shut down when needed and it almost happened again yesterday. 1 or 2 fluke comebacks I can buy, but when it happens almost every game, you have a defense that can't finish for some reason.

Hester has lost his magic too. I don't know why teams keep kicking away from him. I'm sure the move to WR has kept him from performing at a top level but I'd much rather have an offense that moves the ball than rely on special teams so much.

It is like Bizarro world with the Bears this year- the offense is consistently bailing out the D which seems intent on giving away games.

 They deserved to lose to Carolina and Tampa because this defense is just not a big time defense. And Bob Baich is an AWFUL defensive coordinator

Bye coming up - perfect time to let Childress go. Right?
Who do you have take over? That's been my concern all along and unless they have someone in mind to turn this thing around THIS season they should weather the storm.I forgot to add kickass offense. Don't forget about the kickass offense.
Cowher's not busy.. well, he is a :drive: for CBS but guessing he'd drop that in a minute. This team has his name written all over it.. Good Defense .. CHECK.. Running game..CHECK..He'd be able to talk a veteran QB to come in next year and take this team where Childress never will. You only had to watch one play yesterday to realize this team will never succeed with Childress.. 4th down, less than a yard to go.. one of the best 1-2 punch at RB and you decide to let Ferrotte throw ?? :wall:
