You can't plant your helmet in a QBs back. That was as clear a penalty as you'll ever see.BS roughing the passer call there imo.
He's looking like a plodder today. Heavy legs and low turnover.Hardesty looking like the whole offense, and looking pretty good.
If by "plant" you mean graze his back with the helmet that's attached near the shoulder pads, then sure. It was an arm tackled because Chancellor went so much to the side when making the hit. Ridiculous call/rule. No way to avoid helmet contact like that.eta: "as clear a penalty as you'll ever see" =You can't plant your helmet in a QBs back. Did he plant the helmet in his back, or did it glance off? This is a contact sport. You can't plant your helmet in a QBs back. That was as clear a penalty as you'll ever see.BS roughing the passer call there imo.
That play gets called 100% of the time. I agree. You go high, you get a penalty for blow to the head. You go low you get a penalty for going at QB's knees. Where else are you supposed to hit them?If by "plant" you mean graze his back with the helmet that's attached near the shoulder pads, then sure. McCoy doesn't look great either. Not a lot of the TJ haters making any noise on the Seahawks Insider chat room. As someone there said, "Charlie is showing why the coaches choose Jackson." Clipboard Jesus sucks.
He was just targeted at the LOS took it about 7 yardsAny Little sighting?
He just caught a short pass on 3rd down.Any Little sighting?
My first game watching him. He looks bad.Is McCoy as bad as the game logs make him sound? I watched the Greg Little plays last week on gamerewind and saw some total ducks leave his hand. Seems to have a weaker arm then Pennington post-shoulder surgeries.
I don't know about that -- to me, Hardesty looks like he is trying to have quick feet and running hard. Problem is that the Seahawks line and LB corps are quicker and hitting harder. Hardesty looks like he can be hit to the ground pretty quickly by a tenacious run D.Browns on the board first with the FG.He's looking like a plodder today. Heavy legs and low turnover.Hardesty looking like the whole offense, and looking pretty good.
He's a tease; sometimes he looks like he might know what he is doing, then it eventually all comes cashing down. TJ isn't great, but he is far more consistent. Not a lot of the TJ haters making any noise on the Seahawks Insider chat room. He's behind a bad line and has a bad WR group to throw to, so it isn't all his fault. His arm is definitely well below NFL average though. My first game watching him. I can't say what the Browns fans are saying on local boards, but there's a vocal contingent in Seattle's Fandom that constantly bags on Carroll for going with Jackson. I personally don't care, both suck though TJ is a better choice and leader. But both are nothing more than tackling dummies for a young team to get experience around for when they bring in the QB that will define Carroll's regime.McCoy doesn't look great either. Not a lot of the TJ haters making any noise on the Seahawks Insider chat room. Gotta agree with Mad Sweeney here. His helmet just grazed McCoy and then he arm tackled McCoy. If that play gets called 100% of the time, I've never seen it.That play gets called 100% of the time. He may be trying, but he isn't succeeding. He isn't 100% yet but even in school he was hit or miss with his explosiveness. Sometimes he'd lower his pads and burst through a hole, but most of the time he would run upright and with slow feet. You can see this in the highlights of his 2009 campaign, which is really the only season he did much of anything. On top of that he was only a 4.49 at the combine, but he is clearly a step slower than that right now. He looks a half step slower than Hillis so far this season.I don't know about that -- to me, Hardesty looks like he is trying to have quick feet and running hard. No one said he was succeeding. Obannaya looked thousands of times better than Hardesty as a catching back in one play given that he a) actually caught the ball and b) turned it into a nice gain.I don't contest your summary of his college and combine work, and appreciate the insight. Also don't deny that Hillis is the better back -- he's been woefully underused even when he was healthy this season. But we're talking here and now in this game, and I don't think I'd categorize Hardestly as plodding. He's simply not finding any success against a very good run D, which I pretty much expected. He may be trying, but he isn't succeeding. Seattle local? I just moved to the area and he was on sone sports talk show a few days ago talking about all of that.Dude, is Thurmond sporting the high-top fade?!Oh, and btw Mora, you're right. No one in Seattle wanted or misses you as coach.
Thurmond or Mora or me? I'm not a Seattle local, but Mora just said something on Fox about not being wanted as coach. I think he was being affable, but it's true. I hated the choice the second they announced it during Holmie's last year. He was a Ruskell pick, who as GM, turned a SB caliber team back into an NFCWorst doormat.Seattle local?
