Game Thread W7 - Washington V Carolina (1 Viewer)

So, I guess the Torain talk was a bluff?

Hightower looks ready to go off on a lot of people's benches this week.

Unreal. I guess we have to TRUST the smoke we hear each week. The talk of THT being healthy and the rumors of him starting were true. Wow.

:goodposting: Shanny makes it hard to do anything with Hightower. Can't get any value in a trade for him and not sure when to start him.Oh well hope he continues to get carries and becomes more reliable

Except in leagues where I have both guys and I started Hightower last week and Torain this week. This is a nightmare.

The Redskins have to run, Carolina knows it, and the Redskins are still having success on the ground.

Did shanahan actually say that Hightower was starting?
Per CBS on Friday: Ryan Torain, RB WASNews: CBSSports.com RapidReporter John Keim said Friday on Fantasy Football Todaythat he expects RB Tim Hightowerto start for the Redskins on Sunday at the Panthers. However, that does not necessarily mean that Hightower will put up more stats than fellow running back Ryan Torain. Keim suspects that the Redskins will use both guys and ride the hot hand as the game goes on, but did make a notable point: Hightower is a better all-around running back and could be on the field more in passing situations if only help protect QB John Beck, especially with the Redskins' offensive line down a couple of starters.Analysis: The Redskins running backs have become frustrating to figure out after Hightower was named the starter last week and didn't even play. Torain played but didn't get much work and was stuffed by a re-energized Eagles defense (22 yards on 10 carries). The Panthers run defense is among the worst in the league, allowing seven rushing scores to opposing RBs (and 10 total) and giving up at least 90 total yards to one running back in every game this season. We don't love the idea of starting any Redskins running back this week, but if we had to pick one we'd go with Torain, even with Hightower reportedly getting the start. It is possible that both backs put up good numbers in the face of the Panthers run defense.EDIT: I have both for the record, didn't believe the above, and am suffering... Ugh.

Pretty much as expected. Not sure Beck can do much nor do I think they trust him very much. I'd love to see them stick to the run, but they'll have to open things up a little to score some points. I'd go play action deep on the first play here. It's fun to get my first look at Cam, though. He's pretty good.

Remind me aganin why Hankerson can't get to play?

He could drop passes and then fumble as well as Gaffney can...
