Game Thread W8 - Minnesota V Green Bay (1 Viewer)

Classy GB fans booing Favre loudly. :)Lame. Thought those fans were better than that.J
You may consider it unjustified but it's far from unclassy. Short of him going to Chicago he knew what he was getting into. I kinda consider it like the awareness I believe Cowher has in the Browns/Steelers rivalry and why he didn't go there in the offseason.
Woodson went to the Ravens.

What are they supposed to do?He's a division opponent
He also put the team and fans through a lot of crap, calling the Lions giving away inside info after the Jets trade, lied to the Jets (about retiring)and sent the Vikings medical records the very next day. This wasn't like Montana going to the Chiefs. It was personal with him and thus the fans.
Get over it already. Some of you twist whatever you can find to hate the guy.(your whining about who interviews Favre is a pefect example) He gave the Packers and their fans 16 great years. Packer fans should be thankful they were able to watch a guy like that play for him all those years.
flip side?

Fan etiquette:If the player is traded away or cut, it obviously wasn't his fault he left. So you cheer him when he returns on a different team.If the player leaves of his own accord, or joins the enemy of his own free will, you boo him when he returns on a different team.Favre was let go, but he willingly joined the VIKINGS. So, you boo.

Great play calling by McCarthy. Very imaginative on 2nd and 2. And Rodgers - at some point you have to either throw the damn ball or run for a 1st.

Agreed. Favre was forcibly traded and should not be booed.

Should be a delay of game on Packers for spiking the ball.
That's what I thought too. Oh well, kept them to a FG. Rodgers is throwing into coverage like he wants to throw an interception... He wants to show up Favre so bad it is affecting his judgment.

It drives me crazy. Rodgers is a great qb, but he holds onto the ball so long. It's like he is waiting for the big pass to develop instead of checking down quickly when he feels pressure.

Calls/non-calls favoring the Packers, a running list:

Early whistle negating fumble/turnover

No 15 yard penalty for spiking the ball

McCarthy did not call that play. Rogers is not running the plays that are being called just like in the last game. McCarthy yelled at him on the sideline. McCarthy said all the sacks last time around were Rogers not running the play called.

Applaud the guy before and after, but you're nuts if you think they should cheer the guy in the middle of a freakin' divisional game.
 Who said they should applaud him?J
Once again... you expect them to sit in silence? This is a huge game. I'm not seeing at all where you are coming from.
Of course not. They should make noise for their defense like any good fan would. Are you trying to say they boo every QB like this?J
No not at all but it is personal. The Packers are the only thing Green Bay has. Why wouldn't that town consider the team like watching a family member? His intentions in going to Minnesota I don't believe is 100% wanting to win a Superbowl. Part of him I'm sure wants to prove GB wrong and spite the team. He is arrogant which is part of why is great but also why he is hated. It comes with the territory of what I believe is the case of him thinking that he created (rejuvinated) it and he can take it apart and do it for someone else.

Wow. Great leap by Peterson. Jolly's flag was the key on that drive (not to mention Harvin's return)
