Game Thread W9 - Green Bay V Tampa Bay (1 Viewer)

By the way, Josh Freeman does indeed look like the real deal. Poised. Strong arm. I think he'll be a real solid NFL qb.
Serious question: Then why is he only 8 for 21 passing? Is it the GB defense, the poor TB receivers, pressure, or... ? I'm glad to see positive reviews of him but that completion percentage is worrisome.

Every single sack today has totally been Rodgers fault. He needs to learn to throw it away...
YEs and now...that one...as soon as the pressure came from behind, it collapsed up front too...he tried to step up and it closed on him and by the time it did he could not throw it.Though...he could have just tossed it out of the back of the endzone instead of stepping up. I htink he believes he can escape all of those. The almost safety sack though looked like he had absolutely no time to do anything...he looked at the one read tand the blitz was there. And then he does that....

Raheem all tangled up in his headset cable...

:excited:

Are the Bucs the only football team in the western hemisphere that doesn't have a kid walking behind the HC picking up the slack on the cord? Unreal.

I've seen several throws where the DB's were able to get a hand in and knock it away. Very good plays by the defense. Additionally, there isn't much there at WR for TB, as you stated. Overall though, Freeman looks calm, and is making pretty good decisions.Time will tell, but I think he's got some potential.

Good to know, thanks for the detailed response. :excited: This is why game threads rock.

On that note, he just made a great play. Got outside the pocket to avoid the rush, and found a guy in the back of the end zone.

Nice job by Freeman there.

Pack making bad teams look good.

Can't totally fault the defense on the total points...short field on the kick return and INT earlier...plus the blocked punt return.

You know, the tide starting turning for me last week after another debacle against the Vikes. The display being put on by Green Bay today just confirms it for me. Time to clean out McCarthy and Thompson.

Same mistakes over, and over, and over. Every week it's the same thing. Mental errors. Penalties. Special teams plays that cost them at huge points in the game.

Loooooove seeing Kampman getting beat in coverage. Very excited to see the Bears getting blown out enough so that Fox switched to the very competitive Tampa Bay / Green Bay game.

:lmao:

I still think THompson keeps his job with 9-7 or better...8-8 and maybe...7-9 or worse and he is gone.IMO...barring a ridiculous surge McCarthy is gone.

Lots of proven coaching talent out there.

Kudos for Ahman Green, just became the all-time leading rusher in Packers history.

A couple of hard runs today. Dude was the man back in the day.

Wide freaking open and who is out there? Jarrett freaking Bush!!!

Why the hell is he even on the damn field.

Just flipped over. I'm sure it's been said in here, but I LOVE the creamsicle unis.

I love that the Bucs might get their first win of the season in them. A bit ironic, I think.

why not call a TO before the punt if you're GB. Then take 2 TO's and the 2 minute warning and get the ball back with a full 2 minutes?
