It went as well as it could have. When I met with the head of HR before we administered the axe, she asked how he reacted to criticism of his poor performance, because it's a good indicator of how they will react when they've been axed. I said it was always with mild disappointment and blank stares. And that's in fact what we got.

In contrast, when we fired the psycho a few years ago, he went psycho, as he had done when I gave him his bad reviews. Luckily I wasn't in the room for that one.

I've never been to Yank Sing ( @Eephus is very particular about dim sum), but since our spot closed (RIP Canton House) I've been to Good Luck Dim Sum a few times out by the park. It's got your basics, but none of the fancy fried stuff, but it's better than nothing. Although, I do miss my crunchy shrimp balls

I've never had or seen Dim Sum before. Google tells me Michigan is not a place to get it. Looks like a few places across the border in Canada have good Dim Sum but are either currently closed or carryout only. Not even sure I can go to Canada and back right now.

433.8 or 12 - Violent Femmes - Good Feeling (Side 2)

The Femmes self-titled debut is a wonderfully sequenced LP. There are ten songs divided into two halves with up tempo songs to open each side ("Blister in the Sun" and "Prove My Lov"). Side one closes with the dark and dissonant "Confessions" while the album ends with "Good Feeling" which is somewhere between a lullaby and an elegy. It's a gorgeous song with piano and violin backing that has a different feel from the rest of the album. It would also work in the Velvet Underground playlist.

Of course the CD version of the album tacks on two singles to mess up the flow.

You can definitely get some where you are. You're right that you can't go to Canada right now, though, for non-essential travel. I would argue dim sum is essential, but authorities might disagree.
