Genrepalooza Presents: FG Radio - Tons of Lithium but very little Chill (4 Viewers)

I should have done a grunge covers theme for this round, but I was racing around this morning and wasn't thinking. I totally bricked.

I thought about trying to find a way to cover all 4 before. A Springsteen Christmas song, an international jam band, etc. Glad I didn't because I  could do an Elvis deep cut but Soul Cycle Down Beat doesn't work at all.

He’s like an oracle reading the future out of a bowl of chicken bones
Really is. The most coverable artist ever and his songs just work over so many styles and decades. The 3 songs we chose all sound so different too. Dylan is like water. Flows, adapts but always necesary.

This is a tough round because I love grunge and cover songs- almost went with covers for the jukebox draft. Some covers work and some don't but I still listen to quite a few just in case. This is one that sounds like a bad idea but I really like it. From one of my fav tribute discs

Round6 Covers

The Cure- Purple Haze
Never heard this before

I almost did an Elvis Xmas song. Little Less Conversation  could work for Elvis/SoulCycle

Well I was all set to take probably my fav Trees song and then I saw @Pip's Invitation took a Trees song. But I'm still going to go with the song I had in mind. These guys seemed underplayed compared to some of their contemporaries so we can make up for it a little with a relative glut on our channel

Round 6

Lithium

Screaming Trees - Alice Said

I didn't know until recently that Chris Cornell produced this album and I read that he's one of the vocals doing the Alice Said vocal fade out at the end. so it's got that going for it
