Genrepalooza Presents: FG Radio - Tons of Lithium but very little Chill (12 Viewers)

You're welcome!

Which means we don't have playlists for:

SoulCycle (not the same as Soul Town)
Chill
Elvis Channel
Prime Country
90s on 9
50s on 5
Fly
Hits 1
Sinatra (standards)
Shade45
Road Trip Radio
Beatles Channel
PopRocks

Correct me if I'm wrong.
Ok, I am going to start on these right now.  I will make them collaborative.

Looks like some from Pip's list were spoken for, and I didn't think I was educated enough in classical music to do Symphony Hall - i assume there are better versions than others to use there.

Road trip is a fun one. So many classics. I’ll try to see if I can find some lesser played ones- gives me a fun thing to do while I work today.

BTW, @Ilov80s and any other teachers around these parts, it doesn't get said nearly enough - thank you for everything you do, and you for sure don't get paid nearly enough.

(I am about 50 days into virtual learning and helping my 5year old, and I am at wit's end)

Props to you and all the other parents trying to work jobs and help their kids at home- especially the young ones. That’s no doubt a massive challenge. I’m trying my best to support those parents but I know there’s still so much more asked of  them during these times. I wish we could say things were getting better but they  clearly aren’t.

For some reason our district voted to move back to school on Jan 19th.   The plan is to have a choice of stay home or go.  From what I understand, the school option is still basically the kids on their tablets b/c the teachers still need to do the videos and groups for the onliners.   0 clue what the point if that's the case.

All those playlists I created are loaded with the songs on the spreadsheet to the best of my knowledge and ability.

Need to start digging in to some of these playlists.

SPRINGSTEEN CHANNEL

29.xx:  BRILLIANT DISGUISE

LINK

I know I've taken this one before, but between this and Born to Run, I could listen to these songs on repeat and be good.

Has anybody done one of those "top X songs by" threads for Springsteen?   He seems like one of those artists I am not familiar enough with, but when I love of his I hear I REALLY love it.

ROAD TRIP

29.YM - Bad Habit - The Offspring

Nothing says leisurely drive down the highway like this song. Makes you want to slow down, roll down the windows, and amicably greet your fellow travelers on the road.

You stupid, dumbsh!t, godd@mn, motherf$&ker!!

It’s also the perfect concert set opener (oh how I miss concerts).

The bike wasn't one of those high dollar ones, so hopefully it doesn't end up being a hunk of junk.
We didn't spend huge bank either, but it works just fine and has kept us a little healthier through this covid crap
We bought one of these Wahoo Kickr Snap smart trainers and are using our regular bikes. I lost 25 pounds at the start of covid, gained 20 back and have lost 10 again. Win?

I will be covering a virtual conference tomorrow through Tuesday -- just as hectic as the one I was dealing with during the Summerpalooza draft. During these days my picks and playlist updates (Bridge, Yacht Rock, 70s on 7, RNR HOF) won't be timely, but they will get done.

I say big win! I have a bike trainer too, but I need to get two new tires for the bike I use it with. I just haven't gotten around to it. I would have just used that, but this recumbent bike has upper body exercise pedals too, and I wanted to try that out. I have arthritis on my shoulder bone right where the collarbone ends, and I have it in the shoulder socket too. I have bursitis/inflammation in my shoulder as well. Someday I will need surgery on it, but for now I'm trying to strengthen it.

I believe @Steve Tasker, who now owes 29 picks, is the resident expert on shoulder surgery.

I don’t think so but he would certainly warrant it. I love Springsteen but am only familiar with a couple albums and would love to get more exposure.

The road trip station, is there a specific theme or basically just music you like to listen to on a long drive?
