Actually, I was just doing this for Mrs. R. and you guys and wasn't trying to step on Eephus's toes. Eephus, if you want back in, just say the word any time. We miss ya.

Hardest part now is remembering what was taken for these categories already. Good thing we have the spreadsheet.

Oh yeah, that's huge. I had it last night but don't have it anymore. I haven't updated, either. I will try and do that after my engagement tonight (a class I'm taking in like forty-five minutes).

Fleetwood Mac songs already drafted:
The Chain
Dreams
Gold Dust Woman
Go Your Own Way
Landslide (studio)
Landslide (live)
Over My Head
Sentimental Lady (Mac version)
Tusk (live)

Stevie Nicks songs already drafted:
After the Glitter Fades
Edge of Seventeen
Insider (with Tom Petty)
Stand Back
Stop Draggin' My Heart Around (with Tom Petty)

Lindsey Buckingham songs already drafted:
Holiday Road
If I Loved You (with Delta Rae)

Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie song already drafted:
How I Feel About You

Bob Welch song already drafted:
Sentimental Lady (solo version)

Neil Finn songs already drafted:
Don't Dream It's Over (Crowded House)
Four Seasons in One Day (Crowded House)
I Got You (Split Enz)
It's Only Natural (Crowded House)

Dave Mason songs already drafted:
Look At You Look At Me
World in Changes

What, you didn't know Dave Mason did a stint in Fleetwood Mac?

Round 550:

Fleetwood Mac and Everyone Who Was Ever In Them, Ever

A. World Turning -- Fleetwood Mac

One of my favorites from the 1975 s/t album, which IMO is just as good as Rumours.

B. Sara -- Fleetwood Mac

One of my favorite Stevie Nicks songs.

C. Future Games -- Fleetwood Mac

One of my favorite Bob Welch songs. I expounded on this in my 1971 countdown.

D. Only You Know and I Know -- Dave Mason

The best-known song from Mason's beloved first solo album, Alone Together. I saw him perform this with Fleetwood Mac in 1994 when they opened for CSN. The touring lineup at the time was Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Dave Mason, Billy Burnette and Bekka Bramlett -- Christine McVie was still in the band but not touring at the time (she has always hated touring). Bekka's parents, Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett, had a hit with a cover of Only You Know and I Know in the early '70s.

I feel like I just woke up from a 2 year coma.

Round 549 - Applausibles

I Saw Her Standing There - The Beatles

I searched the sheet a few times to make sure it wasn’t taken.

Similar to The Reaper and cowbell, once you focus on the clapping here you can’t stop hearing it.

I don't know what the hell is going on but I'm back in if you'll have me and also explain what the hell is going on.

Saw PUP tonight. They at some point morphed into the punk Hold Steady. I'm obviously not complaining.

There is so much joy!! @JZilla? @Steve Tasker? @The Dreaded Marco?

I have few true friends in the FFA but miss those above. Also @Eephus @El Floppo @rockaction but I feel they're still around.

and now I'm worried about who I've left out and potentially offended. :sadbanana:

Always welcome, my friend. I sort of started up again. Waiting for anyone that knows the process better to come along and take over, but for now I guess I'm rolling the dice, figuring categories, and running it off of the remains of what we had. Don't think too hard about it, join us!

Gabba gabba we accept you we accept you one of us.

All those mentioned are welcome to join in, too.

Also, go back a page and read my entry about The Darcys and The Weakerthans. Sort of inspired me to get it going again.

Should I send out the bat signal to those that I haven't already? It's really low-key and I'm not sure how well I'll manage it, but I'm willing if Eephus or NV don't want the reins. I'm just going off of the sheet and the new sheet I made (Sheet 6 for the categories) and going to town with what we have.

Tennessee Channel (Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga and points between) need to decide whether songs about or artists from

Beelze and the Bubs (Songs about the Devil)

Blonde Ambition- Madonna, Brittany, Christina Aguilera and Lady Gaga

Kidz Bop (music by or for kids of all ages)

Associated Acts (Bands with members more famous for another band. Supergroups welcome but no solo material)

These are the five categories in the hopper. One must replace Beat It, then two From Dayton are required to get six in the hopper.

I'll use a five-sided die for this promotion, then a six-sided die for promotion from Dayton. All decisions arbitrary and final, just like hagmania uses for the sheep game.

 Dice roll is 1.

Tennessee Channel gets promoted to where Beat It was. Songs about Tennessee, Nashville, Chattanooga or points in between. Also, songs from artists from there is allowed per me.

Need to promote two from Dayton to get to six in the hopper.

Vocal Chords (Songs with great harmony vocals)

Associated Acts (Bands with members more famous for another band. Supergroups welcome but no solo material)

History Channel (songs about historical events)

Eephus' Fresh Hell -- songs 15 or 12 minutes long or more

The Cloud (songs about the sky and flying fauna)

Patriotic Songs (Lee Greenwood and/or Toby Keith Need Not Apply)

Music Calendar (songs with months or days in them)

Squeezebox Redux (songs featuring the accordion)

The Medium is the Message - songs about television/journalism/newspaper/movies

Pride Mix (songs by or about LGBTQ people)

The Love Channel

Itchy & Scratchy Show (Songs with turntable scratching)

The Remnants (Undrafted songs from Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and their members)

Beelze and the Bubs (Songs about the Devil)

Emerald Isle (Irish Acts)

Remixes not remasters

Songs that make you cry

Radio Radio (songs about the radio, records, cassettes or streaming services)

N'awlins (The music and musicians of New Orleans)

IP Theft (Samples, Samplers & Samplees)

All Goth Radio

That's twenty-one in the hopper. First roll is 18. Radio Radio promoted to round of six. Next roll 21. All Goth Radio promoted to round of six.

So, in the future the roll for the main event comes down to these six.

1. Beezle and the Bubs

2. Kidz Bop

3. Blonde Ambition

4. Associated Acts

5. Radio, Radio

6. All Goth Radio

Glad to see this started up again.  My heart’s not in it to continue drafting; don’t know why but might still be mourning the loss of Woodstock.   Will follow along enthusiastically.  Thanks for putting all the effort in, rock!

I can't run it right now, new job etc...

Oh man, that bird stole our Krista...

Chime in if you ever want. Always open.

@rockactionI think I've got where the categories stand in the retirement tracking post:  https://forums.footballguys.com/topic/789651-genrepalooza-presents-fg-radio-tons-of-lithium-but-very-little-chill/?do=findComment&comment=23035740  but feel free to let me know if I have anything wrong.

Also remember that while I can update the spreadsheet when needed, I can't update any playlists except my own, because I use the desktop interface and not the app.
Yeah, it seems like I need to think this through further as far as a full-service Genrepalooza goes. I can update any community-started playlists for now.

I updated Horny Time and the others. Can somebody check to make sure the changes are global and not local?

Also, starting up the Fleetwood Mac list. Hold on a moment for that.

Added the Ray Charles song. If anyone can, please check the Vegas list to make sure it's a global change and not just local to my computer.

Shocked to see this back on the main page. Had a great time with this draft but cant fit it in right now. I got moved to a different campus a couple months ago and barely even get on these boards anymore :(
