This is true. Just one more beer then Imo.I'm gonna say yes to this, but I'm pretty sure we're off the grid here in a draft that we're not actually participating in

I say fire away. The friend of the thread creatorI'm gonna say yes to this, but I'm pretty sure we're off the grid here in a draft that we're not actually participating in
has dibs on whatever he wants. The sauce is great, feel free to buy a few pallets. I'm just here making sure no one's disparaging my name.My God, Billy, what brings you here? How's the sauce?
I had to Google it, but I can hear the melody line.So I walk up on high
And I step to the edge
To see my world below
And I laugh at myself
While the tears roll down
'Cause it's the world I know
I did not know this without googling, but I should haveNo googling this one...
Passport, past life, a drifter's demons
Alone, lost, and fast running out of reasons
For not falling in with the Foreign Legion
Cold, kicking the can around town one evening
Streets all abandoned, bars barely breathing
A whirlwind, a woman, and a famous feeling
And anything you wantI did not know this without googling, but I should have
Broadway's dark tonightAnd anything you want
There's nothing I could say
Is there anything to feel?
Is it pain that makes you real?
Cut me off before it kills me
R. Jay! Was Googling you the other day because somebody else's avatar reminded me of you. How's it going?
Not lit up by the wedding festivities?Broadway's dark tonight
I know, because I'm not that far away from it
simey generally provides the twang in our thang. Not enough country music in here, in my opinion.
Was not expecting this to actually be "Broadway" lol
I'm a sucker for the songs about actual Buffalo area locations. A beautiful street that's been downtrodden for 50 years. Was not expecting this to actually be "Broadway" lol
I got you, moonlight, you're my starlightIf you wanna run away with me, I know a galaxy
And I can take you for a ride
I had a premonition that we fell into a rhythm
Where the music don't stop for life
Glitter in the sky, glitter in my eyes
Shining just the way I like
If you're feeling like you need a little bit of company
You met me at the perfect time
Awesome. I just took them for the category Emo Imo. I remember that you dig them. Have fun.Seeing this band in two weeks with Mrs. NV
I imply to mitigate the guilt, we could align
A perfectly constructed alibi
To hush the violent guilt that eats and never dies
In actual blame, they call me once the dark divides
Simple math, it's why our bodies even lay here
Sinful math, the truth cannot be fashioned
What if you were crazy, would we have to listen then?
What if we've been trying to get to where we've always been?
What if I was wrong, and started trying to fix it?
What if you believed me?
Everything is brilliant
I saw them at a smaller indoor venue and thought that she had a great stage presence. Can I get your number?
Can I get you into bed?
When we wake up in the morning
Will you give me lots of head?

I disagree with Tasker, I thought Japanese Breakfast commanded the stage both in her own set and the Superjam.
Probably because Rolling Stone and/or Spin said so.Collective Soul was very uncool. I can't remember why, but they were.
I really just wanted your reaction to RA saying the most memorable thing about the Marianne and Leonard movie was learning that Cohen was from Montreal.1. I definitely appreciate the sentiment but sadly have nothing better to do.![]()
2. But there were so many pages here that I lost whatever the thread was.
I'm a bit confused about the Tennessee category. It's been described as Songs about Tennessee with an emphasis on Memphis, however, "Honey Don't" by Carl Perkins doesn't mention anything about Tennessee, but it was recorded there. Does this mean the category is also songs affiliated with Tennessee, but not necessarily about?
Ok. There are tons of songs about Tennessee, but there are also some great songs that were recorded in Tennessee, but don't mention anything about it in the lyrics or title. Since ilove80s veered off the main path with Sun Records/Sun Studios, I was thinking about how much I love Stax/Volt Records and Hi Records/Royal Studios (and even Goldwax) in Memphis. I did already draft one Stax song with Rufus Thomas' The Memphis Train, but it mentions TN.If you want guidance, go with songs about Tennessee. I'm rolling dice, but I'm letting people police themselves, so if there's a song from or affiliated there I'm not going to get my dander up and give a heavy response. It was confusing at first, so there's leeway, IMO.

Before that there was a brief discussion of the origins of Famous Blue Raincoat.
I must have missed that. Loved that movie, by the way.I'm a bit confused about the Tennessee category. Both on my list for the category. I love Kim's vocal in "Gigantic" and Dee Dee's turn in "Wart Hog."
There is a lot of interesting stuff related to that song that I didn't mention, but it was a year ago that I read it all, and I can't remember all of it right off hand. Anyway, since the conversation with rock yesterday, I have a relentless earworm of "and Jane came by with a lock of your hair..." It's on constant loop, and I can't make it stop. Before that there was a brief discussion of the origins of Famous Blue Raincoat.
I’ll put both Tennessees on the spreadsheet. There are no rules here other than “don’t go to the PSF.”Round 573
Category: Tennessee And Its Cities (It Came From Memphis)
Song: Made In Memphis
or, if this suits the list better
Song: Last Night
Artist: The Mar-Keys
The first house band of Stax Records, the first one incorporates the name of the city and is catchy as heck, but the other one went to #3 on the charts in '61 or '62. It's up to k4 which one she wants as she'll likely be adding the song to the playlist.
Round 573b
Category: Radio, Radio
Song: This Is Radio Clash
Artist: The Clash
Another one from Joe Strummer and the lads, this one incorporates dub and disco into a funky seether.
