It is very strange to me that they are doing this, but it's definitely cause for concern as Wilson will not be nearly as productive if he's sitting out lots of snaps.
Bills are doing something similar at several other positions as well so it seems like a new strategy within the team.
That being said, Wilson may have missed more time than expected yesterday due to a big hit in the first half and the fact it was a blowout victory.
I watched this game. I believe the majority of missed snaps occurred in the 1st half after he got banged up. He seemed to be in for most 2nd half snaps, but it sure looked like he was avoiding contact if he could help it. He made a couple tackles but never seemed to get into the play if the tackle was likely to be made by others.
I now have Chancellor, Wilson and William Moore. Starting Chancellor and Moore in Week 3 seems to be the way to go. Then if Wilson has another nondescript game I will cut him.
