Getting weird texts from ex-employer.. (1 Viewer)

Update? Is this guy in jail yet?
Don't think he's been arrested yet. Rumor mill has gone bananas and finding facts amid it all has been a bit difficult (this guy has pissed off a lot of people). All I know for sure is that (1)"Betty" spent a long time at the police station yesterday where they advised her to get some security set up and for her to change her number......(2)that charges have been filed......and (3) that he sent my office a fax this morning.I'm assuming the fax means he hadn't been arrested, because the nature of the fax didn't really correspond with what I expect him to act like after getting arrested. Phone calls confirmed that no one heard word of him actually being picked up. I'm also pretty sure the police don't know the new location of his business, and his home is outside of the city/county where all of the legal action is. I do know where his office is and about 30 minutes ago sent that info their way.I'm thinking today should be the day, but according to one guy the detective on the case seems to be a bit slow at everything.

Kudos to Jayrod if this is some sort of slow-play FFA exit strategy.
:goodposting: Stay safe.
:goodposting: If Jayrod slow played us all, it would have to be the best and longest fishing trip in the history of the FFA. I remember the initial threads on problems he was having when he worked for this nutjob. It went from issues with payments to that business shutting down to finding new jobs to this. It has been around for years. Kudos to Jayrod for making this all up. Clever man. That said, do we know where you are? Just figure that the locals from there can comb the papers in case we stop seeing posts. Good luck and keep your head on a swivel.
Springfield, MO area......but nothing in papers here. It is just a localized small time issue. If I don't show up for 3-4 days on FBG's, something has gone wrong because I'm addicted to this website like crack and now have a smartphone so I'm never without my fix.

Checking the papers was for after you didn't show up for a few days.

In case something horrible enough to make the news happens to you.

I've been watching the thread from a distance, until you mentioned Springfield, MO. This isn't in any way affiliated to the stuff going on in Buffalo, MO is it? My brother is dealing with something similar there.

Your brother's name isn't "Tim" is it? :scared: -QG

That would be incredibly awesome.
Update?
Not Buffalo area.Haven't heard word about Tim being arrested yet. He's continued to harass people through the weekend and into today. He sent one of my old co-workers a text about me, including calling me a porn addict. He e-mailed my boss this AM letting him know that his evidence about my stealing sales tax payments sufficient enough that something should happen to me "this week". I need to file for my restraining order, but I've been very busy lately and thought he'd be picked up by now.

Found out jackass has been messing with my sister at her school (she's a teacher) and my mom via e-mail.

Not cool.

Also don't think anything came of him getting arrested....not sure what the deal was for sure, but the rumor is the police still didn't think they had enough on him since they can't trace numbers back to him.

I'm starting to think I may need to get real aggressive with this. Trying to ignore him isn't cutting it and he crossed a line messing with my family.

Options I have:

1) take all of the contact he's made to the police and try to get harassment charges filed

2) refile for an order of protection

3) sue in small claims court for unpaid final paycheck and expense-reimbursement

4) sue for libel

Fairly certain I'm doing #1 & #2.....#3 wouldn't cost anything but time and #4 would cost time and money.

Oh, and he's starting to send faxes in to my office of "evidence" where I submitted fraudulent tax payments in to Oklahoma and Arkansas. The grand total of this fraud scheme is around $1000.

So, what did you do with the $1000?
:goodposting:These small amounts that you keep dismissing are adding up. Fraud is fraud.
Maybe you guys missed the quotes around the word evidence. That usually denotes that the thing isn't what it was alleged to be.

It's unfathomable to me that you have let this go on as long as you have. I hope everything works out.
I would have probably said the same thing watching it from the outside. It is the kind of thing that is more annoying than a real problem, but compounded over time and consistent enough, this guy is like Chinese water torture. The other problem is that there are no easy solutions. Other people have tried everything I've listed above to no avail. They've called the police, they've gotten orders of protection, they've sued, and no one has succeeded in shutting him up or getting him to leave them completely alone. He emails my sister, claims it was an accident and then emails her superintendent and says she needs to be disciplined for threatening him. He gets on an internet message board and accuses an employee's father using a phony business front and says the father looks "goofy" and likes to dress "in drag". He contacts former customers and asks them to pay the $10 they short paid that I had written off 3 years ago or else he's going to come and remove their equipment.Long story short is that he's a giant pain in the ### and there is no way to get rid of him completely and the things I can do are time consuming and aren't even guaranteed to work.
