Getting weird texts from ex-employer.. (1 Viewer)

This may be extreme, but can you change your email/cell phone number? It might get to a point where it would be worth it.
:goodposting: Was thinking this. The guy is a real life troll. The easy way to stop a troll is put him on ignore. Changing phone number and email address may be annoying for your contacts but it sounds worth it at this point.

From all the stories you tell, unless this is a reaaaaaly long fishing trip, this guy is straight up stalking you. Being a man with a wife and kid, I wouldn't stand for it myself. What's the end game here? You think he is going to get tired of it and go away? I'm not sure what I would do off the top of my head, but it wouldn't be to sit around and wait for this guy to snap or ruin my life. What do you plan on doing about it?
I'm consulting a lawyer on just that (if he'll ever call me). I'm doing something, trust me. This last barrage of activity has crossed lines he hadn't crossed before (i.e. texting again, more activity than before and getting personal).I want to send a strong message, but want to be as smart and efficient as possible with it. I'm 90% sure I will be having my lawyer send him a stern letter with some threats and demands to cease contact. The question is do I sue for libel and if so, how much will it cost me? I think he is actually running out of cash and lawyers who will work form him. Hard to juggle 3-5 cases at a time financially with a failing business.
Good luck; I completely understand you wanting to do it the right way. If the guy's life is falling apart like it seems, a letter from a lawyer might only provoke him more. Can't you file a restraining order preventing him from contacting you or your employer; or at least try to file one? I would like to think that most judges would understand where you are coming from and would grant one. Then maybe you could get his ### thrown in jail if he keeps up the BS.ETA- If it were me, suing wouldn't be much of a concern, especially if he is broke. it would cost you a lot no matter what and you might never collect. I would just want this guy out of my life as fast as possible, no matter how that happened.

I did actually try to call the office in the evening on March 9 to leave a message that my W2 was wrong but the phone picked up and there was silence and then my baby started crying so I hung up. I'm guessing the last two texts are a result of that call.

So anyway, I just thought I'd share and ask, WWtFFAD?
Holy F that would freak me out too. How did your baby get to the office?
HAHAHA! DAMN THAT WAS HILARIOUS!!!!!

The next wave (all from today) are primarily about some emails he found in my company email. I had sent an email to my church about wanting to speak with a counselor about my struggles with pornography....then I had an internet monitor that sent emails of any offensive material to myself and a friend to keep me accountable. He is now trying to bate me by mocking this and calling me sick, a porn addict and a sex offender. This is about a 12 text continuous rant over the last 30 minutes.
:lmao:
Yeah, I figured I'd get that.....Its not something I want to do, but had trouble stopping once it was a habit. I needed a little help and got it.
Good for you.

What does he want? What would make him feel that he no longer needs to talk to you or about you? Does he think you owe him money? What is it that he's trying to accomplish?

I think he wants someone to blame for his problems. He wants someone to have stolen money from him, to see them put in jail, to collect the insurance money and then to be a hero to his wife and kids.Unfortunately, no one stole anything from him, so no one will be going to jail, he won't collect any insurance money and his business will ultimately fail, he'll go bankrupt and his wife will probably leave him (I've heard word that she wants to, but is scared since they have 6 kids 18 & under). He has some deep rooted psychological problems and is behaving quite irrationally at this point. There is no end game for him unless he loses everything and can start over, is put in jail or is dead.I spoke with the lawyer this afternoon and will be petitioning for another order of protection. The lawyer gave me some tips about how to word things that should get the thing issued. After that if he tries to contact me at all, then I can have him arrested.

Good. I hope you get it.

I read the whole thread and feel for you. Though I think the worst thing you could have done to him was to show up on the courthouse steps and try to buy his building.

I've been following this since the beginning - I feel for you, it's a tough and ridiculous situation to be in. :(

I agree with not replying to him, that will just inflame/encourage him more most likely.

I also think it's wise to pursue and follow legal advice at this point.

Good luck.

Phone numbers get recycled all the time. Pretend that happened. You don't actually have to change your number, you just want him to think you did.

Here's what I've always been curious about, how much was so much that you figured it was time to get help? Couple times a day? Or was it mainly a religious thing where even once was not tolerable?
Anonymous notes on the front door of your house?
HFS :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

So is there some kind of thread on this joke?

When you are on a computer you know isn't monitored, I always equate it to being in a house where there are a ton of hot naked women playing in the backyard and all you have to do is open the blinds to look. That window being so close and so easy to get to is too much for almost any man to withstand. I just basically needed someone else "in the room" so the temptation to look is easier to overcome.
what's funny is that someone has convinced you it's wrong to open the blinds....
Not what we are doing here.
that not why were here?

Just have your IT department filter his emails. Don't send out any messages that say the email was blocked or he will send it from another email. Just let him think the emails are getting through.

Word is today that he will be arrested. I'm not 100% sure on the charges, but US Dept of Labor has sent a criminal case to the county to prosecute him for failure to remit withheld healthcare & IRA contributions...rumor is that is part of it, but that there is also a charge for harassment of some sort on one of my coworkers. Apparently he has been using her name to harass various companies and place bogus orders.

The police actually called to warn this person (not sure if I've giver her a name before, but I'll go with "Betty") that "Tim" seems unstable and that he'll likely get out after the arrest and that she needs to have some kind of security in place. Also rumor is that his wife has filed for divorce, but I'm guessing that is more speculation than fact.

It could be hitting the fan soon. :scared:

Time to start wearing a vest.

You need to make sure you have some kind of security too. When, not if, he comes completely unhinged he has fixated on you enough that I would be more than a little concerned about your safety.

Seems like this should make it a lot easier to get a restraining order.

Plans are in place as much as they can be. The only other thing I can do is have a conceal and carry license in place.Honestly, though, I'm probably #3 or 4 on his list of potential targets. Betty is probably #1 and there is another guy clearly #2, then me and some other people are probably all in about the same range of hate. #2 does have his conceal and carry and is now packing at all times.IMO, Tim will either be in jail or dead before he gets to me....but I'm still watching my back pretty regularly now.

Yeah, I'll be reapplying tomorrow....but that all will likely take a few weeks.

No, that's German for "The, Jayrod, The."
Wouldn't it be "der" since I'm masculine?
Sideshow Bob bit.
Yeah, I'm having flashes of Tim = Sideshow Bob. Just less cunning and intelligent. And with more delusion and text messaging.
So, as long as Jayrod has a bunch of rakes lying around his yard, he'll be fine.
I think I need to head by Home Depot on my way home from work.Pffft....who needs a home security alarm?

I figured it was some reference, but I didn't know it.It should have been "Der, Bart, der" as well.
I'm sorry, the correct response is, "No one who speaks German could be an evil man."
Ich spreche Deutsch. Maybe I should tell Tim, and then he'll believe I'm innocent and leave me alone.

 And have the HMS Pinafore in his back pocket.

Really, Jayrod is going to be just fine.

this sounds like one of those stories where eventually, Tim's neighbors will be saying that he seemed like a nice guy.

keep your head on a swivel, Jayrod.

But what if he does the hits in reverse order?Kind of like a deranged Top Ten list saving the best for last?

My whole office is in a bit of a tizzy over it. Plans are being made and frontline employees have been alerted. The bar was taken off of the back door.I'm kind of in the mood of kicking him in the chest upon sight, but not sure how I would react in reality.

Use the front kick to the chest to get him off balance, follow that up by gripping the front collar of his shirt with your left hand. Alternatively pull forward than push back to keep him off balance. Use your right hand to inflict damage to his face or chest with either with a fist or open palmed slap. When his legs start to get a little shaky, clinch your hands behind his neck and pull his head down as you bring your knee up. Finish him with soccer style kicks if need be.Then call 911 and file a report that he attacked you and you defended yourself.

Kudos to Jayrod if this is some sort of slow-play FFA exit strategy.
:goodposting: Stay safe.
:goodposting: If Jayrod slow played us all, it would have to be the best and longest fishing trip in the history of the FFA. I remember the initial threads on problems he was having when he worked for this nutjob. It went from issues with payments to that business shutting down to finding new jobs to this. It has been around for years. Kudos to Jayrod for making this all up. Clever man. That said, do we know where you are? Just figure that the locals from there can comb the papers in case we stop seeing posts. Good luck and keep your head on a swivel.
