The New York Giants are expected to face the Miami Dolphins at London's Wembley Stadium next season, the New York Daily News has reported on its website.

According to the report, the NFL is expected to make the announcement in the next few weeks.

The report also said there is a chance the Buffalo Bills could be the visiting team instead of the Giants. However, sponsors of the game in England have been pushing for the Giants for more than a year.

The game would take a home game away from the Dolphins, who were to host the Giants on next season's schedule.

Every team is expected to play at least one game outside the United States during the next 16 years.

In 2005, the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers played the first regular-season game outside of the US, when they met in Mexico City, Mexico. The game drew a record NFL regular-season crowd of 103,467.

In 1986, the NFL ventured overseas for a pre-season game for the first time, when the Chicago Bears faced the Dallas Cowboys at Wembley Stadium before a crowd of 86,000.

FWIW, in addition to this Giants "road" game in London, the Giants have a home game next year...against the Jets.
