Giants-Vikings game postponed until Monday Night (1 Viewer)

The Giants/Vikings Week 14 matchup has been postponed until Monday Night.

Kickoff time is TBD. Air travel was not safe at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport,

So anyone hearing anything about the time. I read from a star tribune email that they expect it to be an espn doubleheader but no mention of times.

Hmmm, Derek Hagan is sitting on my ww. I'm thinking maybe I should grab him so I at least have a guy I can plug on on Monday night if Nicks sits.

Who cares if the game is on TV..is Nicks playing or not???
Latest from CBS Sports:Nicks ruled out?: Giants WR Hakeem Nicks (lower leg) has been ruled out for the Week 14 game against the Vikings, according to NFL Network. But since they broadcasted his status, several New York media outlets have reported otherwise. Most say he is still listed as questionable heading into Sunday. The WR could miss his third straight game despite saying he was going to play on Friday.

Injury Report

Lower leg - Questionable for Week 14 at Minnesota

(Updated - 12/11/10)

Fantasy Analysis

Nicks was originally scheduled to miss about three weeks, so him missing the game on Sunday would not be a big surprise. Still, throughout the week it seemed like he was looking better and better. The conflicting reports can have something to due with the team being stuck in Kansas City overnight because of a blizzard in Minneapolis. Now the game has been moved to Monday night, so Nicks will get an extra day of rest to see if he can play. Regardless of report, we will officially know his status 90 minutes before kickoff. Stay tuned.

How can you count on Nicks for a full game as of now??

This is reminiscent of the KC-MIA game in 2005 that was moved up to Friday. NFL only aired it in KC and MIA markets -- caused a bunch of Sunday Ticket folks to go beserk.

Yeah as a Giants fan that doesn't live near NY or MIN and has the Sunday ticket to watch the Giants I am not going to be happy about the game not being availableI will have to try to find it online and watch

Hang tight folks RT @judybattista: NFL is still looking into out-of-market viewing for NYG-Vikings. Stay tuned, as @gregaiello likes to say.
I think it states ESPN gets the National broadcast on Monday's. I would be shocked if this went through. It would have to probably be moved to ESPN by Fox. ESPN will never let a station compete on MNF for their spot, especially FOX after the BCS Debacle they had.

Maybe thats why the star trib stated that it would be an ESPN double header which I stated earlier in this thread. I have no clue just trying to find out and hearing alot of different things.

Yes, ESPN has the national MNF rights. Fox has the MIN/NYG rights. Maybe ESPN gets a piece of the action by letting FOX go nationwide or to NFL Network. It seems there is money to be made for all if both games go to a nationwide audience. .

Morning news is reporting that the Metrodome roof has deflated. Not sure what this means, but hopefully we still are good for the game tomorrow night. Fifth time in history the dome has deflated.

Per CNN. There are what it seems to be multiple tears in the roof, sky can be seen through those tears.

They have been asking for a new stadium for years. This may be the final nail that drives them to LA.

According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, the roof of the Metrodome in Minneapolis has "collapsed."

Our View:

It's apparently not collapsed all the way in, but buckled down under the weight of over 22 inches of snow. It will apparently be re-inflated on Sunday, but the Vikings and Giants' Monday night tilt is now lo longer a sure thing. The postponement of the game would be an almost unprecedented fantasy situation, and would leave many in a huge lurch during what is likely their fantasy playoffs. Expect many updates throughout the day
